Ruth Waihuini Mwangi

It is with great sadness that we inform you the passing on of our beloved Ruth Waihuini Mwangi which occurred on 02nd July 2021.

She was the daughter to the Late Grace Wacuka and the Late Zachariah Gitahi of Ihururu village, Muhoya’s Location in Nyeri County. She was the Wife to the Late Bernard Mwangi Wainaina, mother to the Late Michael Wainaina Mwangi, Late Zachariah Gitahi Mwangi, Samuel Ngugi Mwangi, MaryJane Mwangi, Grace Wacuka Kamotho and Wilson Gichuki Mwangi. Mother in Law to the Late Elizabeth Wanjiku Ngugi, Martin Mbogo and Daniel Kamotho.

Grandmother to Geoffrey Kimani Ngugi, Jacqueline Waihuini Ngugi, Catherine Wairimu Ngugi, Purity Njoki Ngugi, Jacqueline Micere Wangui (Johannesburg), Joan Waihuini (Singapore), Michael Gitonga (Australia), Ken Karara Kamotho, Carol Wanjiru Kamotho, Valentino Karinga Kamotho and Gift Waihuini Gichuki.

Sister to Late Wilson Gichuki Gitahi and Late Isaiah Curagi Gitahi. Step Sister to the Late Ibrahim Gichuki, Solomon Nguyo, James Wanjie, Late Amos Githaka, Ruth Wamahiga, Late Rebecca Muthoni, Isaac Githogori and Naomi Wanjiku.

There will be a requiem mass at Assumption of Mary Catholic Church Umoja One (I) on Wednesday 07th July 2021 starting at 3p.m.

The Cortege will Leave Kenyatta University Referral Hospital on Friday 09d) July 2021 at 6:30 am. The Requiem Mass to celebrate her life will be held at her late husband’s home in Ichamara village, Mukuruwe-ini Sub County, Nyeri County. Burial will follow thereafter at the same venue. The funeral service will be streamed — live via You Tube for virtual attendance. Strict Covid-19 protocols will be observed according to GOK regulations.
