It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Sarah Weleta Salasya after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Mzee Leo Salasya and the late lmeldah Nechesa.

Sister of the late Anne Nambwaya, the late Blasius Munyendo, George Lucas Masakhwe, Jacinta Mukola, Teresa A. Mayabi (Kenya Literature Bureau), Protus Salasya (Water Resources Authority), Esther Mukhwana (Ebutayi Village), Charles Kweyu (Principal, Mumias Complex School), Johannes Chibayi (Lake Victoria North Water Services Board), Claire Shiroya (Chimoi Village), Nixon Wakhu, Rose Olindo, Hellen Makolo, Gentrix Werreta Okwako, John K. Omamo, Christopher Kalerwa, Eunice Salasya among others. Aunt of Cecilia Aramba, Godfrey Mukhwana, Kelvin Salasya, Craig Munyendo, Levius Salasya, Milka Shiroya, Meline Nechesa, Petronila Chitechi, Betty Wanzetse, Job Izaak Salasya, Benjamin Salasya, Dolphine Mambo, Seraphine, Rose, Genevieve, Hellen, Sarah, Derrick Salasya, Mildred Vusha, among others.

Friends and family are meeting daily at Norwich Union, her Kitengela residence and Bumini home for prayers and funeral arrangements. The fundraising meeting will be on Tuesday, 4th June, 2019 at S.00pm at Norwich Union House. The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on Wednesday, 5th June, 2019 at 5.00pm for Kitengela for an overnight stay and thereafter proceed to Bumini, Mumias East on the morning of Thursday 6th June, 20 19.

Sarah will be laid to rest on Saturday 8th June, 2019 at the family home in Musangaro Village, Bumini, Mumias East, Kakamega County.
