Shem Odhiambo Okello
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden and untimely death of our beloved Shem Odhiambo Okello, Former General Secretary Baptist Convention of Kenya.
He was husband of the late Ruth Namiti Okello and Joyce Akinyi Kienga. Father of Cherrygrace Odhiambo, Judyanne Odhiambo and Willyshem Odhiambo.
He was son of the late Ayub Okello Kitaga, Doris Akumu Okello and the late Jane Juma Okello.
He was a brother of Pauline Orage, the late Joseph Opiyo, Fanuel Juma, Collins Omondi, the late Martha Achieng’, the late Milka Akeyo, Jared Okello (MP Nyando), Molly Akoth, Daniel Moi, Beatrice Akinyi, Joshua Magero and Anne Awino.
He was a son-in-law of William Kienga and the late Anne Kwamboka Kienga. Sister-in-laws are; Beatrice Opiyo, Beatrice Juma, Christine Moi, Joyce Omondi, Maddo Adhiambo, Chantelle Joshua, Emilly Kienga,Grace Kienga and Jane Kienga. He was a brother-in-law of George Kienga, Erick Kienga, Jeremiah Kienga, Samuel Kisuge,Charles Kisuge and Obuya Kisuge.
The body is at Montezuma Funeral Home. The requiem service will be on Wednesday 6/3/2024 at Ridgeways Baptist, off Kiambu road as from 10,00am.
The body shall arrive at his home in Nyando on 7/3/2024 and the burial service will be on 8/03/2024 in Kamanga village, Kobong’o Sub location, Nyando District.
Rest well uncle a true leader with a profound legacy in the Christian faith .my condolences to the family may God be their refuge in this time .
