Silas Eddie Mutegi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr Silas Eddie Mutegi after a short illness.

Son of the late Mr Jeremy Rwigi and the late Judith Ciambuba Rwigi.

Husband of Agnes Kajuju Mutegi. Father of Frank Murithi and Linet Kainda; Antony Mugendi and Christine Muruga; Pauline Kawira and Martin Muthuri; and Griffins Mwenda and Terry Mukami. Grandfather of Edwin Muthomi, Kate Weisikah, Davis Mutugi, the late Lewis Mawira, Collins Murimi, MacJoe Munene, Edlee Murimi, Ashleen Makena and Shaleen Mwende.

Brother of the late Dorothy Ciomutho, the late Jesca Ciamugere, Elias Gitari, Lenity Kagendo, Millicent Njeri, Jasper Gitonga, Loftus Njagi and the late Susan Karimi. A cousin and uncle of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Karamani village, opposite Ikuu Boys’ High School (Tharaka Nithi County,) at 4.00pm for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves PCEA Chogoria Mission Hospital mortuary on Friday 9th August at 8.30am for funeral service at PCEA Ibiriga Church, starting at 10:00 am and thereafter the burial at his home in Karamani village opposite Ikuu Boys High School, Tharaka Nithi County.
