Simon Waititu Wambugu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Simon Waititu Wambugu, 68, who passed away peacefully on 12th April 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Agha Khan Hospital – Nairobi. He was born on 21st November 1956 to the late Joseph Wambugu & Domitila Wanjiku in Kariko, Othaya.

Simon led a life marked by his commitment to serving the Lord and the church. He was known for his kindness, humor, humility and love to everyone which endeared him to all who knew him.

A devoted father, brother and friend, Simon leaves behind a legacy of serving the Lord and the community around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, love and humor; his absence will be deeply felt by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his mother Domitila Wanjiku; wife Joyce Nyambura, Children Domitila Waititu, Irene Waititu; grandchildren Nyambura Mwaura & Muthoni Mwaura; siblings Peter Gachuki, Faustino Gichuri, John Kiragu,
Teobald Mukundi and Paul Githinji, Son In Law Antony Mwaura and many aunties, cousins, nieces & nephews.

The burial will be held on 23rd April 2024 at Kariko Village, Othaya. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate the life of Simon Waititu.
