Solomon Githendui Njenga (Solo)

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Solomon Githendui Njenga (Solo) after a short illness.

Solo was a cherished son of the Late Jackson Njenga Njoroge and the Late Jerusha Wairimu Nyenga.

A darling husband to Elizabeth Wanjiku Kamuyu and a doting father to Jerina Wairimu, Lee Waithaka, and the Late Leo Githendui.

A sweet brother of Lillian Wanja, the Late Joseph Njoroge and Eva Wanjiku, Betty Wangui and Gabriel Njogu, Winnie Wanjiku and George Ndiang, and Purity Gathoni and Dr. Charles Gachoki. Foster brother of Dancun Maina.

Son-in-law of Patrick Kamuyu and the Lace Mary Wangari. Brother-in-law of Marion Kamuyu, and Humphrey Neviya and Lowe Kieyva.

He was a beloved nephew of Michael Githae and Jane Githae, Gathoni Macharia and Dr. SK. Macharia, Mary Moureith) and the Late Mureithi Kagondu, the Late Evan Mutugi and the Late Jecinta Mutugi, the Late Julia Gikungit and the Late Josiah Gikungi, Douglas Kibara and the Late Jacinta Wambui, Peninina Muthoni and Samuel Njuguna, Elizabeth Wambui and the Late Geoffrey Muriuki, Godfrey Karanga and Magdalene Karanga, Nancy
Wanjiru and Timothy Kiura, Baney Wangu and the Late Simon Gatimu, Rachel Muringo, Florence Wangechi, Catherine Kagio and the Late Peter Mathenge, Leonard Mutugi and Martina Mutugi, Amb. Robinson Njeru Githae and Alice Wangitu Njeru, Peris Gachigi and Dr Berric Litunya, Alfred Kinyua and Judy Kanini, Judy Wachera and John Mwaura, Lilian Wangari and Dr Karanja Kiticho. the Late Joel Ngigi and Lillian Ngigi, the Late Hannah

Uncle of Eric Walthaka, Rhoda Chebet, Kevin Niogu, Melanie Wangari, Wayne Waithaka, John Thuku, Sophie Wairimu, Libby Wanjiku, Jamin Gachoki, Zawadi Wangechi, Kamuyu Nguiya and Kinyua Nguiya. He was a cousin, friend and colleague to many.

Friends and family will meet on Tuesday, 5th March and Thursday, 7th March, 2024 at All Saints Cathedral at 5.30pm.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 6th  March 2024, at ICC Mombasa Road at 2.00pm

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday 8th March 2024 at 6.30am. A funeral mass will follow at St. Peters Catholic Church, Kiandai, at 9.00 am.And thereafter, a private interment at his parent’s home in Kiandai Village, Kirinyaga County
