Sr. Mary Amata (Lucia) Shitakha

The Sisters of Mary of Kakamega regret to announce the passing on of Sr. Mary Amata (Lucia) Shitakha which occurred on Wednesday 5th May 2021. She hails from Saint Joseph the Worker Shibuye Parish, Kakamega Diocese.

Daughter of the late Mzee Thomas Shitakha Wisyatsa and late Mama Zipora Shikata Shibanda of Shanjero Village Shasaba Sub-location Shibuye Location Kakamega East Sub-county, Kakamega County. Sister of the late Peter, the late Joseph, Mary, Florence, the late John Manyonje, and the late Wendo, amongst many others. Sister-in-law of Teresa Khamuka and Anne, amongst others.

The cortege leaves Saint Elizabeth, Mukumu Mortuary on 13th May, 2021 at 3.30pm, for vigil mass at Sisters of Mary St. Augustine Chapel, Mukumu.
