Son of the late Hezekiah Kibunja Murimi and Banice Wambui Kibunja of Irima villa, Kangare sub-location Kigumo, Murang’a county. Beloved husband of Esther Wangari Kihara (Wa Jack). Father of Mary Wangui Maina, Lilian Wambui Maina (USA), Susan Waithera Kibicho (USA), Jack Maina Kihara (Royal Media Services), Daniel Kiarie (Intelysis Consultants). Brother of Joel Mwaura, Julius Murimi, Winfred Mwangi, Nancy Wangui, Irene Njeri, the late Hanna Waruguru, Peter Murimi, David Kimani, the late Samuel Njororo, Esther Githu, Jane Njoroge, Shipra Ngure, Jonah Ng’ang’a and Alice Njuki.

Step brother of Paul Karanja, Anne Ruguru, Rachael Wanjiku and others. Son-in-law of the late Stephen Kiarie Kiniaru and Naomi Wanjiru Kiarie of Githunguri village, Kiambu. Brother in law of Simon Njoroge, Samuel Moko, James K. Kiarie, the late Hannah Waceke, Paul Wainaina, Janet Muthoni, Ruth Kiuna (USA) and Eunice Wanjiku.

He is uncle of Kelvin Mwaura, Robert Mwaura, Lilian Wambui, Patrick Githinji among others. Cousin of John Mwaura, Caroline Wambui, Alex Mwaniki among others. Grandfather of Ian Kihara, Salma Njeri(USA) Rita Wanjiku (USA) and others.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Irima village and Tumaini House 5th Floor, Moi avenue Nairobi for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Githumu Hospital mortuary on the 17/05/2019 at 9.00AM and later on the body will be laid to rest at his home in Irima Village, Kangare, Kigumo, Muranga County.
