Stephen Bartonjo Rotich Kamuren

A Life Journey from 1935 to 2019

With acceptance of God’s will, we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Stephen Bartonjo Rotich on Monday 30th September 2019 at his home in Ainabkoi.

He is a former pioneer athlete, public administrator, corporate executive for Brooke Bond and board director with National Irrigation Board (NIB), Horticultural Development Authority (HCDA), Cotton Board of Kenya and Kenya Airports Authority (KAA).

Mr. Stephen Bartonjo Rotich is the son of the late Mzee Rotich Kamuren and the late Kobilo Rotich Kamuren of Aiyebo village, Baringo North District, Baringo County. Mr. Stephen Bartonjo Rotich is husband of the late Josephine Wangeci and Mary Wangare. A loving father of Peter, Zipporah, Eva, Janet, Joseph, Kulei, Nancy, the late Robert, Miriam, Naomi, Caroline and Lydia. Grandfather of Sharon, Gideon, Grace, Fidel, Samara, Tyrone, Naavah, Zivah, Nicole, Angel, Mike, Tina, Hannah, Noah, Tyra, Blessing and great-grandfather of Yovel and Adam. Father-in-law of Dan, Vincent, Sarah, Christine and Francis.

Brother of the late Kobilo Chelegat, the late Michael Rotich Kamuren, Hon. Willie Kamuren, Mrs. Priscah Chepsingei, the late Priscillah Angelei, Mrs. Evelyn Kandie, Mrs. Milka Chepsat, Mr. Joseph Rotich, Mr. Benjamin Kamuren, Ruth Kamuren, the late Samson Rotich, Charles Rotich, the late Jeniffer Cheruiyot, and the late Isaiah Rotich. Stephen is an in-law to many.

Funeral service and burial will be held at his home in Ainabkoi Drys Farm on Saturday 12th October 2019.

Family and friends are meeting in Nairobi, Ainabkoi, Eldoret, Nakuru, Marigat and Kabartonjo. Meetings in Nairobi will take place at the All Saints Cathedral from 5.30pm on Monday 07th and Tuesday 08th October.

A Fund raising meeting will be held at the same venue on Wednesday 09th from 5.30pm.
