Stephen Maranga Obegi

We announce the death of Stephen Maranga Obegi (formerly of KRA, road transport) of Kenyerere Village, Nyanturago, Nyaribari Masaba (Masaba South) Kisii County.

Son of the late Reuben Obegi Chweya and Jeriah Bonareri Kerubo, stepson to Bisieri Obegi and Nyamaina Obegi. Son in law to late Francis Boraya Mabiria and Rosaria Bwari Boraya. Loving husband to Teresa Kemunto Maranga, caring father of Evelyn Kwamboka, Caren Makori (USA), Janet Nyaboke (USA), Lydia Nyanchama, Vincent Chweya (USA). Milkah Kerubo and Advocate Wilfred Obegi. Brother to the late Evans Chweya, Pauline Nyangara Osao, late Hanna Kemunto Matoke, Ruth Moige Moindi, late Salome Nyamora Magere, Sibia Bochere Ondieki, late Justus Gichana, Joseph Onchweri, Zedekiali Machoka, late Alfred Onchweri, Zephania Ondora, Hudson Onchweri, late Onsare Obegi, Gichaba Obegi (USA), Late Isaka Chweya, Benjamin Ogoti, late Nichodemus Machoka, late Hon. Dr Hezron Manduku, Elisaphan Osiemo, Hesbon Chweya, Zephania Chweya, Yebesh Ongaki, Charles Machoka and many others.

Brother In law to David Mochama (SOT), Mrs Florence Moraa Manduku (HEMA)and many others. Uncle to Hezron, Comm’r Jeremiah Matagaro, Mose, Meshack, Moranga, Obed Chweya, Richard, Dr. Jackline Gichana, John Chweya (KRA), Dr. Vera Ataya, Gichaba Machoka (USA), Dr. Robert Nyakenyanya (HEMA), Philip Machoka (USIU), Dickson Manduku, Andrew Isaka, Ombui Onchweri (Cameroon), Ben Ondora, Chweya Onchweri (USA), Malack Obegi and many others. Grandfather to Robinson, Dr Dancan Chweya (KNH), Naftali (Safaricom), Dr Assa Chweya (KNH) and many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily both at his residence Ruai (behind Rual Family hospital Nairobi) and in his rural home Kenyerere Village, Nyanturago for prayers and burial preparations.

The Cortege will depart from Umash Funeral Home at 7:30 AM on Thursday 29th for burial at his home Kenyerere Village on Friday 30th October 2020 from 9 AM.
