Stephen Waweru Muthira

 1946-2018

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mr Stephen Waweru Muthira of St Kizito Mwihoko formerly of CCK (CAK) that occurred on 14th May 2018.

Beloved son of the late Maria Muthira Kamonye. Loving husband & best friend of Beatrice Njeri Waweru. Loving father & friend of Elizabeth Muthira, Cecilia Nyawira, George Kamonye (Dj Kalonje) & Bernard Muriuki & loving grandfather of Alaine Njeri & Dwayne Waweru. Loving brother of Patrick Kamonye, Angela Njoki, the late Peter Ngubu & the late Godfrey Mburu. Loving cousin & uncle of the Kamonyes, Ngiges, Mburus, Ngubus, Mwangis, Manjes & Mwauras. Loving in law of Dorcas Gatuma & of the M’Murugus.

He served the Lord faithfully as the head of church organ music & in the choir since his twenties at St Theresa’s Catholic church Eastleigh & then St Joseph, St Francis & finally St Jude Catholic churches Mwihoko & was an active CMA & community member.

Friends & relatives are meeting for prayers and burial arrangements daily from 5 pm both at his home at St Kizito (Githurai) Mwihoko & at Dj Kalonji studio in Eastleigh.

Fundraiser to be held on Tuesday 22nd May from 4.30 pm at his home at St Kizito. A Requiem mass will be held on Thursday 24th May 2018 at 6 pm at his home in Mwihoko.

The Cortege leaves KU funeral home on Friday 25th May 2018 at 6 am for burial at his home at Chaaria village in Meru. Contributions can be sent to Mpesa 0722648509.
