We regret to announce the sudden death of Sylvia Yegon, a teacher at Kapsogut Primary School, on 9th May 2021.
Daughter of the late Harry and Emily Beti of Chebwagan Village, Buret Sub-county, Kericho County.
Wife of Christopher Yegon (Kijiko). Mother of Faith Chebet (Multi Media University), Joymay Chepkoech (KMTC), Harriet Cherono (Kapkisiara Girls), Mitchel Chelangat, Enock Kiptoo and Bethuel Kipkemoi, all of Bethel Hill Academy.
Sister of Elvis Ng’eno (Regional Manager Nyayo Tea Zones – South Rift), Ronald Ng’eno (Kilgoris Hospital), Shirley Mutai, Sharon Chepkorir and Desmon Ng’eno.
Daughter-in-law of the late Mr/Mrs Richard Miting of Kapsogut.
Sister-in-law of Lina Cheruiyot, Walter Yegon, Dr. Eliud Yegon (Moi University), Job Rere, among others.
Niece of Bishop James Bett (Faith Ministries International), Joseph Bett, Richard Bett, Peter Bett (Director Bethel Hill Academy) and Hon Alex Ben (MCA Litein Ward), among others.
Mother-in-law of Rolix Bett. Doting grandmother of Lian Kiprop.
The cortege leaves Lazarus Funeral Home Kericho on Friday 14th May, 2021 and the body subsequently interred at her home on Saturday 15th May, 2021 at Kapsogut Village, Cheboin Ward, Buret Sub-county, Kericho County.

A heartfelt sorrow full of tears in my eyes….. unbelievable sudden leave….I can’t imagine I will forever miss you my teacher….I remember the last time we met was when you requested me to call for you someone whom you wanted to sell for you pineapples….I always putted all the respect to you my teacher…..Iam still in a doubt but all in all ……let me just agree…may you rest easy madam one day we will meet again in heaven…..bye
