Tecra Wangari Muigai

It is with deep and profound sorrow that we announce the tragic and untimely death of Tecra Wangari Muigai that occurred on the 2nd May 2020, at the Nairobi Hospital.

Tecra was a beloved and last-born daughter of Mr. Joseph Muigai Karanja (Chairman, Keroche Breweries) and Mrs. Tabitha Karanja (Chief Executive Officer, Keroche Breweries).

She was a loving sister to James Karanja Muigai, Anerlisa Wanjiru Muigai (Chief Executive Officer NERO Co. Ltd) and Edward Mwangi Muigai. She was a sister-in-law to Ben Pol.

She was a beloved grandchild to the Late Julius Karanja Muigai (Keroche) and Monica Wanjiru Karanja; and the Late Kanyagia Mwangi Kimani and Ekira Wangari Mwangi. She was a much-loved and treasured step sister, adorable auntie, niece, cousin and friend to many.

The late Tecra was a dynamic, creative and empathetic leader who touched many lives. She was also an iconic, transformational thinker, intellectual and a brilliant philosopher.

She was passionate about her country Kenya and its people, and always advocated for equal opportunities for everyone.

Until her death, Tecra was the Strategy and Innovations Director at Keroche Breweries. She has passed on at her prime.

In God’s hands you rest surrounded by angels. In our hearts you will live forever.

Eternal rest grant unto her oh Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May you rest in peace. Amen.

The Family of Tecra wishes to thank friends from far and wide for their deep out-pouring of heart felt condolences.

Tecra’s interment will be held at a private family ceremony.
