Thomas Karuru Macharia

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of our beloved father, Thomas Karuru Macharia after a long battle with cancer. He hails from Murang’a County, Kabwirwa Location, Kongoini Village.

Son of the late James Macharia Munyui and the late Nancy Wanjiru Macharia of Mugoiri Location, Murang’a County. Beloved husband of Peris Waigwe Karuru (Director Wangu Investment Company, Former Councilor, Murang’a County. Beloved father of Wanjiru Kiragu, Terry Gichimu, Alexander Macharia and Immaculate Njoki (B/Lady). Father-in-law of Peter Kiragu, the late David Gichimu, Gerald Gitau (Base Commander Busia) and Lucy Wanjiru. Brother of Peter Munyui, Saraflna Njoki, Vincent Muthinji, the late Francis Munyua and Oreste Kimani. Brother-in-law of John lrungu Githinji and George Githinji Muriro. Grandfather of Kamau Gichimu, Doreen Kiragu, Mwangi Macharia, Jackline Wambui, among others.A great grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Murang’a and at Homeland Inn Thika Road, from 5:00pm.

Funeral and burial service will be on 21st March 2019 at his home in Muranga County.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race and I have kept the faith.
