His Excellency, Governor JOSEPH OLE LENKU, and the entire fraternity of the County Government of Kajiado, join the family, friends and the people of Kajiado County, in celebrating the eventful life of the late Hon Daniel Kasirimo Ole Muyaa. Mzee Ole Muyaa, 74, went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2019. He will be laid to rest tomorrow, October 5, 2019, at his Olkinos home, near lsinya town,Kajiado County.

Those who interacted with this maverick politician and civic leader, will be mourning a selfless man whose invaluable contribution to what Kajiado County is today is unmatched. His gift of the garb blended with a spirit of bravery to defend his community ensured that his people voted for him as councillor for more than two decades, rising to the chairmanship of Olkejuado County Council. He also served as chairman of the Association of Local Government Authorities of Kenya, the precursor of today’s Council of Governors (COG).

In Ole Muyaa, Kajiado leaders had a role model in public service that puts people first. His philosophy of embracing all people regardless of their ethnicity is one great lesson on how progressive leadership can promote peaceful co-existence of Kenyan communities in the County. As a government, we strongly recognize his mark of service in shaping Kajiado County’s formative years which will remain indelible for many generations. Mzee Ole Muyaa dispensed his wisdom and counsel freely to many elected leaders and attended all County Government functions despite his physical challenges. We join the family, friends, Kajiado residents and other Kenyans in praying for God’s strength to bear with this untimely loss.

To his dear wives, joyce Manyishoe and Emily Katito, God will take care of you. To his surviving children David Kimiti, Sammy Mokinyo, joshua Kayian, joseph Kompe, Joel Lantei, Queen Esther, Josephat Muyaa, Faith Sanaiya, Moses Simel and Emmanuel Taiyet, God will be your shepherd.

Rest in Peace, Papa! You have truly left a mark in our lives.
