Venancia K. Kathie

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Venancia Kangai Kathia on 16th January 2020 after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Mariamu Ciombae and Njeru. Sister of Francis Metha of Nturiri village. Loving wife of Vincensio Kathia. Adoring mother of Virginia (State Department for tourism — Nairobi), Late Benson, late Peter Mbae, Paskaline, Elosy, Nicholas, Fridah and John. Mother- in-love of Julius M Mutinda, George Miriti and Stella. She was grandmother of Kathambi, Wanja, Kinyua, Murugi, Mucangi, Mawera, Maureen, Kelvin, Mwende, Yvonne, Joan, Joel, and Mugi. She has left behind 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting dairy at Mr Mutinda’s home in Kamiu, Sunrise Comfort Hotel in Embu from 5.00pm and her home in Miringani village, Kabuboni Sub-location- Meru South.

The cortege will leave Gakwegori funeral home on Thursday 23rd January 2020 and burial will take place at her home.
