Veronica Aluoch Kowido

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Veronica Aluoch Kowido, formerly of Ministry of Social Services on the 9th April, at Avenue hospital, Kisumu after a long illness bravely borne.

She is Predeceased by her parents John Owuor and Bertha Aloo and siblings Teresa Kochieng and Ann Opondo. Loving wife of Benard Kowido (formerly of Ministry of Co-op). Sister in law to Seraphine Osok (Late), Philister Odhiambo, Edward Kowido, Fred Kowido, James Kowido, Rose Owido, Elizabeth Owido (Late), Romulus Opondo and Gerald K’ochieng (Late), Paul Otieno, Vincent Chiaga, Thomas Onyango and others. Daughter in law to Sylvester Owido (Late) and Selina Alando (Late).

Mother of Evelyn Kowido (Late), John Otieno (Late), Brian Oduor (Late), Lauryn Kowido (SPIF K Ltd), Bertha Kowido (ATC Kenya), Frida Kowido (Unilever (K) Ltd), Ida Kowido (B. O and Co. Advocates-NBI), Kevin Kowido (Atlancis Tech-Nbi) and Fabian Kowido (Nairobi). Mother-in-law of Samuel Jira (SPIF K Ltd), Solomon Okuku (Nation Media Group-NBI), Austine Otieno (Oracle Kenya-NBI), Erick Orende (Orende and Associates Advocates), and Christina Mkodo. Grandmother of Elsie Muthoni, Briannah Serena, Ryan Jira, Zariah Nia, Genevieve Akinyi, Gianna Amor, Gabriel Baraka, Eve Hera, Milan Chivy, Damian Leo, Claire Otiende among others.

Aunt of Joseph Owido (I&M Bank), Florence Were (Ministry of Finance), the Kowidos, the Kochieng’s, the Opondos, the Osok’s, the Koyoo’s among others. Cousin of Peter Sewe(JOOTRH), George Onyango (Min of Foreign Affairs), the Wayodis, the Ofulas and Onyiegos of Urim Alego among others.

There will be fundraisers on the 17th of April at All Saints Cathedral Hall in Nairobi, Aberdare Nyali-next to Reef Hotel in Mombasa and on the 22nd of April at Public Service Club in Kisumu towards offsetting the hospital bills and Funeral expenses.
