It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Mrs Veronica Wairimu Mbuthia (Wa Mugweru).

Wife of the late Mr Peter Mbuthia Mwati (Gituthu). Sister of Mbaria Wa Mugweru, among others. Mother of Mary Wahito Njogu of Loitokitok, the lateWanjiru Mbuthia, the late Mike Mwati Mbuthia, Joe Mugweru Mbuthia (Nation Media Group), John Kizunga Mwangi (Jozamu Ventures), Bernadette Nyambura (Seychelles) Catherine Njumbi (Seychelles), Anne Muthoni and John Chacho Mwangi (Seychelles). Mother-in-law of Njogu Ngugi, Nancy Wambui, Mary Wakini, Beatrice Wacera and John Thuku.((KNEC)). Grandmother and great-grandmother of many.

Meetings are taking place at Sagas Hotel, next to Blue Springs on Thika Road daily from 6pm to 8pm. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary at 8am on Saturday, September 9. Mass will be held at at Kiriai-lni Catholic Church, Murang’a County at 10:30am. Funeral will be held the same day at Kagioalni Village from 11:30am,
