It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Virginiah Wangari Macharia (Wandundu) of Gatamaiyu Gikuo village (formerly of Ihiga-ini village, Kangema), Gikindu Sub Location, Mirira Location, Kambirwa, Murang’a County on Monday 3rd September 2018.

Beloved daughter of the late Wanduta Njora and Wanjiku Wandutu Beloved wife of the late Peter Macharia Gatuku, (Ndundu). Loving mother of Josphine Wanjiku (former Railways), Dr Stephen Irungu (Kenneth Matiba Eye & Dental Hospital), Isaac Mwangi (Kigoro), the late Simon Maina (Kambo), Edward Njora (Nrb), Samuel Njeru (Nrb), James Kimani (former Amicas) and Gidraffe Kimemba (Watuha Sec).

Mother-in-law of late Peter Wanjama, Eunice Wairimu (Mumbi Girls Sec),Wangechi, Nyambura, Penninah Kabura, (Karumu Primary) and Mukami. Sister of the late Simon Njora, Nancy Gacheri and James Kimani. Grandmother of Nancy (Sunny Dental), Dr. Sally Irungu (Lodwar Hospital), Peter Macharia, Blessing, Wangari and many others. Great grandmother, Aunt and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 6 Pm at Murang’a Mukawa, Alpha Hotel Nairobi and Kabati Zabka Hotel.

Cortege will leave Murang’a County Mortuary on Monday 10th September 2018 at 9 am for funeral service and burial at 11a.m., at her husband’s home Gikuo /Gatamaiyu village, Mirira Sub location, Kambirwa Location, Murang’a County.

Mum, you have fought the good fight you have finished the race and you have kept the faith. Glory be to God. Amen
