It is with acceptance of God’s Will that we announce to you the sudden passing on to Glory of Wairimu Nyoike through a short illness.
Wairimu was the first Kenyan African Registered Nurse and first African Matron of Kenyatta National Hospital, amongst many others.
Daughter of the Late Evans Nduhiu and the Late Grace Wamuyu and Daughter-in-Law of the Late Baranaba Nyoike and the Late Elizabeth Mwara.
Beloved Wife of Hon. Kimani wa Nyoike; the loving Mother of Eng. Mwara and Eng. John Mwicha Mwatu (GM, KURA); Chuhi and Eva Naputuni Nyoike (Acorn Special Tutorials); Nduhiu Nyoike and Mercy Nduhiu; Wamuyu Manyara and Manyara Kamau. Doting Grandmother of Wald Amanda, Shawn Ngao, Samantha Wairimu, Kimani, Wairimu, Naimutie, Mwara, Malaika, Kimani, Kiilu, Nyoike, Wanjiru, Wairimu, Njeri and Mwara. She was Sister of the late Rahab Ndirangu, Joram Wachira, Joyce Lyimo, James Change, the late Patterson Kiai, and Ndirangu wa Evans. Sister-in-Law to many.
Family and Friends are meeting at St. Andrew’s PCEA Church, Nairobi on Tuesday (25th April 2017) and Wednesday (26th April 2017) evening from 5:30 p.m. and at PCEA Macedonia Church, Athi River from Monday (24th April 2017) to Wednesday (26th April 2017).
The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 from 10 am at St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi.
