Walter Leshan Poreka

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely death of Walter Leshan Poreka, on Thursday, 16th November 2017 at the Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi while undergoing treatment after a tragic road accident on Thursday, 2nd of November 2017.

Son of the late Joseph Poreka and Esther Poreka of Narok. Husband of Wairimu Gachie. Father of Johari and Lulu Poreka. Son-in-law of John Gachie and Njeri Gachie. Brother of Shadrack, Francis, Diana, Grace, Rhoda, Ann, Lucy, Late Felly, Stanley, Chege and Nasieku. Cousin of the Kodonyo’s Tiampatis, Mpayeeis’s, Shapara’s, Torome’s, Poreka’s among others. Loving Uncle to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his house in Dagoretti Corner (First Apartments), Nairobi and Narok (Chambai Hotel), and at his parents’ home in Narok. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, 23rd November 2017 at Nairobi Chapel on Jamhuri Road on way to ASK Show Ground from 10.00am.The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Nairobi on Friday, 24th November 2017 at 8.00am for funeral service & burial at his father’s farm in Mai-Mahiu.
