Winfred Muthoni Kiragu

It is with deep shock and disbelief that we announce the untimely demise of Winfred Muthoni Kiragu of Green Cottage Academy on 3rd August 2017 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Daughter of Mary Nyakinyua Kiragu and the late Simon Kiragu. Mother of Fiona Nyakinyua, Green Cottage. Sister of Joseph Kabui (KRA Meru), Douglas Muriuki, Lucy Gichuhi (Real Treasure Academy), Mercy Nyawira (Real Treasure Academy), Samuel Gathathu and Jackson Muchiri. Sister-in-law of Nelly Kabui, Catherine Muchiri and Lawrence Gichuhi. Aunt of Simon, Stan, Douglas, Lorna, Wangui, Lenny and Fabian. Niece of Samuel Gathathu, Peter Githinji, Alice, Charity, Late Njuma, Late Rose Nyawira and Late James Maina. Cousin of Judy Muraguri (Green Cottage Academy), Anne Muringo, John Kabui Maina, Elizabeth Munuhe,Winnie Muthoni, Nicholas Muriuki, Geoffrey Gathathu, Stella Kamau among others.

Friends and family are meeting at her residence in Githurai 44 and at her rural home in Karatina daily for prayers and burial preparations. The cortege leaves Jamii hospital mortuary Karatina on Friday 11th August 2017 at 8.00am and burial thereafter at her rural home at Karindundu village, Mathira District, Nyeri County.
