Winifred Wambui Njao

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Winifred Wambui Njuguna Njao of Githemba Acres, Acre Ithano on 29th January 2019.

She was the beloved wife of Njuguna Njao, and mother of Lorraine Njoki and Edgar Njao. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Hinga and the late Esther Njeri, of Dagoretti. Sister of the late Ruth Mumbo, Mary Nyambutu Guchu, the late Rachel Wajliku Mokoosio, Grace Waithera Hinga, Doreen Wangari Hinga and the late Merilyn Nduta. Step-sister to the late former Commissioner Bernard Hinga and Benson Githieya among others.

Sister in law to the late David Mucai, the late Peris Wambui, the late Willy Mbichi Muhia, Milkah Nduta, Hannah Mweru. Samuel Njoroge, Ruth Waithera and Margaret Njeri. Auntie to Esther Gachagui, Amos Murungu Guchu, Mercy Nyokabi, Vivian Kiarie (USA), Lucy Njoki, Nancy Naserian among others. Loving grandmother to many and a loving great-grand-mother to many.

Friends and family are meeting at her Githemba Acres, Acre lthano residence daily at 5pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday 6th February at 9:00am for a funeral service at 11.00am at Benson Njonjo Memorial Church, Chunga Mali, Gatimu, followed by burial at her home Githemba Acres, Acre Ithano.

2nd Timothy 4:7 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
