Zablon Mogoko Onchimbo Kona

We are saddened to announce the demise of Zablon Mogoko Onchimbo Kona an elder of Eastleigh SDA Church, a Lecturer at the Technical University of Kenya and formerly of Government Press of Kenya.

Son of the late Samson Kona Moinani and Jemima Nyaboke Kona of Kiabiraa, Bokimori in Nyamira County. Son-in-law to the late Samuel Chieta and the late Truphena Nyogari Chieta.

Beloved husband to Teresa Mogoko Kona (Kibiko Primary School). Father to Samuel Nyachieo Kona, Phoebe Monica Moraa Yonga, Joan Jael Kemunto, Ivy Jecoliah Nyanchama and Jabez Blair Naftal. Father-in-law to Liza Kemunto Kona and Brian Yonga Binge.

Brother to Alice Mainye, Risper Momanyi, Elijah Mabwoga, Martha Mogambi, Isabella Nyakeya, Mersha Ayonga and Callen Nyamisa.

Brother-in-law to Jane Mabwoga, Mainye, Mogambi,Ayonga, Ochengo, Kemuma, Alice, Jones, Dorca, Grace, Rose, Lillian, Charles, Edna, Osindi, Kerubo, Millicent, Sophia, Geoffrey, the late Nyaribe and the late Carren.

Nephew to Michira, Samuel, Willdster, Kwamboka, the late Bitange and the late Nyakang’i.

Cousin to the Kimaigas. Uncle to Make, Arisa, Moraa, Enoch, Ayonga, Brian and many others.

There shall be a fundraising on Tuesday, 06/12/2022 at the Professional Centre, Parliament Road, Nairobi from 5.30pm.

There will also be a church service on Thursday, 08/12/2022 at Nairobi Central SDA Church at 2.00pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, 11/12/2022 at 2:00pm for a night vigil at his Ngong home. Burial shall take place on Monday, 12/12/2022 at his home in Ngong, Caphill Estate in Kajiado County.
