Zebib Solomon Kavuma
It is with profound sadness that the family of Zebib Solomon Kavuma announce her passing on 19th April, 2024 peacefully and surrounded by family. Since 2019, Zebib has acted as Deputy Regional Director, UN
Women for East and Southern Africa Regional Office.
She is the loving daughter of Dr. Solomon Bekure Woldegiorgis and the late Zebade Bekure.
Loving wife of Paul Robert Kavuma. Mother of Kaleb Kavuma, Ezana Kavuma, Aida Kavuma.
Sister of Menelik Solomon, Selome Solomon Bekure, Kebede Solomon Bekure.
Daughter-in-law of the late Godfrey Kaaya Kavuma and to Miriam Kavuma. Sister-in-law of Catherine Kavuma, Eva Kavuma, Stephen Kavuma, Celia Wambuzi, Peter Kavuma and Jacqueline Kavuma.
A celebratory service will be held at the family home in Nairobi on Monday 22nd April 2024 between 4.00p.m – 6.00p.m.
Family and friends will escort Zebib to her final resting place in Sagala~Buwaya, Busiro County, Uganda, where she will be laid to rest on 25th April, 2024.
We thank God for the precious time we have had with Zebib. She will remain in our hearts forever.
May she rest in eternal peace.
