Jane Wangari

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Jane Wangari which occurred on 11th July 2025 after a short illness.

She was a loving wife of George W. Onyango of MMU, a loving and caring mother of Connie, Ida and Linda.

Cherished daughter of Mary Njoki and daughter-in love of the late Anthony Owino & Gaudencia Anyango.

She was a dear sister of Nyambura, Ngina, Wanjeri, Wacuka, Kinyua and the late Mukuha.

Sister-in-law of the late Petronilla, Denis & Noela, Chris, Judy & Jens, Philip, Collins & Mariam, Douglas, John, Grado and Hellen.

She was a loving aunty of Njoki, Wangari, Gertrude, Mike, Sonia, junior, Calvin, Linda, Tracy, Lorraine, Liam, Gaudensia, Jazzpreet and a dear friend to many.

Until her demise, she worked at Kenya Civil Association Authority (KCAA).

Friends and family are meeting daily at her residence.

A requiem mass will be held on Thursday, 24th July 2025 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Ruaraka (Survey of Kenya), from 2.00PM.

There will be a funds drive at her home on the 20th July 2025 from 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on 25th July 2025 to her home in UminaVillage. She will be laid to rest on 26th July 2025 at Umina Village, Umala Sub-Location, Ugunja Sub-County, Siaya County.

Eternal rest grant unto her, 0 Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
