It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Peter Wanyangi Wanjihia.

He was son of the late James Wanyangi and the late Jane Wambui (Wambuku) wa Njihia.

He was husband of Tabitha Wanjiru Wanyangi. Father of John Muchiri, Jane Wambui, Zipporah Wangui, James Kungu (James Wong), Alice Wanyangi, Samuel Kamau, Naomi Wangari, Moses Wanyoike.

The late departed peacefully on 9th January 2026 after a long illness.

Burial arrangements are being held at his home Karugo Village Kagwe Lari Sub-location Kiambu County and Thika Road Quiver HQ next to Alcapone from 5.00 pm daily.

The body will be removed from KU Referral Home on 16th January 2026 for burial rites at his home Karugo Village Kagwe Lari Sub-county the same day.

 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Richard Nyamongo Onchimbo from Mokomoni.

He was a son of the late Mzee Judson Onchimbo and the late mama Agnes Nyanchama.

He was a husband of Catherine Kerubo. Father of Brian Amenya, Purity Kemunto and Trevan Ogero.

He was a brother of Elizabeth Moraa, Kennedy Onchimbo, Pamela Monyangi,the late Evans Ogero and Joseph Kinyosi.

Friends and family are meeting daily at their homes in Eldoret and Mokomoni from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with committee meetings being conducted daily. Prayers are being conducted daily and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital on 15th January 2026 at 12:00pm to the home at Mokoni Borabu Nyamira County. He will be laid to rest on 16th January 2026.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Ajiyenza Khamasi, formerly of Liquid Telecom, who went to be with the Lord on the morning of 7th January 2026.

Eric was the cherished son of the late Simon Khamasi and Beatrice Khamasi.

He was the beloved husband of Veronicah Gachoki and a devoted father of Michelle ljeleha.

He was a loving brother of Edwin Khamasi, Beverly Khamasi, and Gavin Khamasi; son-in-law of the Gachoki family; brother-in-law of Fatuma; and uncle of Imani, Zuri, Maya, and many others.

He was a treasured member of both the Khamasi and Khaminwa families. family and friends are gathering daily at Southlands Estate, Langata, and at All Saints Cathedral on designated days for prayers and support. A funds drive will be held on Friday, 16th January 2026, at All Saints Cathedral starting from 5:00 PM, to assist with funeral arrangements.

Emily was the daughter of the late Mr. Musa Kipkemoi Chongoti and Sarah Chemutai Chongoti of Kipkelion, Kericho County. She was sister of the late Damaris Kibilo, Susan Ng’eny, Cecilia Leting, Joseph Chongoti, the late James, George Chongoti, the late Stanley. Steve Chongoti, Ann Chongoti, Betty Kirui, Janet Cheruiyot, Benard Chongoti, Evaline Cheptoo, Geoffrey Kiprono, Peter Kimutai, Michelle Chongoti and Winne Colasha. She was an Aunty of many nieces and nephews.

The late Emily was sister in-law of the late Hon. Kipng’eno Ng’eny, the late Hon. Joseph Leting, the late Kibilo, the late Salome, Christina, Linah, Lizzie Chongoti, Richard Kirui, Erick Cheruyot, Joan, Joel Langat, Mercy, Janet and Nicholas Colasha Rono.

The funeral service and burial will be on held on Tuesday 20th January 2026, at her home in Kipkelion, Kericho County, starting from I 0_00 am.

She was a daughter of the late Maluki Mulatya and Grace Syondeto, and a sister of Eliud, Musili, the late Esther, Gedion, the late Alex, Caroline, Lena, and the late Davidson.

She was a loving and devoted wife of Eng. Mutemi Mutunga Mbinga. A mother of Aaron Mwanzia, Dorcas Mbuli, Grace Museo, Lilian Ndanu, Seth Ngumbau, and Kelvin Musikali. She was a mother-in-law of Rose, Kennedy, and Joshua. A grandmother of Alyssa, Aldrich, Allyn, Furaha, Israel and others. She had many nieces and nephews.

Mourners are meeting daily at her home in Kyandani Village, Waita Location.

The cortege will leave KNH Farewell Home on Saturday, 17th January 2026 at 7:00 am for a funeral service and burial at the family home.

Loving wife of the late Francis Njoroge Kamau (Kamunjuu). Doting mother of Prof Lucy Wairimu Kibera, Eunice Wambui Mburu, James Wanyoike, Joseph Kiburu, Paul Ndehi, the late James Kimani, the late Jane Nyambura Gitiya, Philip Karonjo, John Waweru, the late Stephen Gathui, David Kirago and Prof Mary Wanjiru Kinoti (UoN).

She was mother-in-love of Prof Francis Ndungu Kibera (UoN), Joseph Mburu, Catherine Wambui Wanyoike, late Jane Wanjiru Kiburu, Mary Wangui Kiburu, Margaret Wanjiru Ndehi, Charles Gitiya Gatharia, Mercy Mugure Karonjo, Margaret Wairimu Waweru, the late Teresia Nyakairo Kirago, Edna Jemutai Kirago and Prof Abel Kinoti. She was a grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother to many.

The family of Lizzie Wanyoike lovingly shares the remembrance of a woman whose life was defined by visionary leadership, boundless generosity and unwavering strength.

It is difficult to imagine that two years have passed since we said goodbye to our beloved Matriarch. Yet, the sense of her presence remains with us every day. While time has softened the sharpness of our grief, it has not lessened the love we carry, nor has it reduced the immense space she holds in our hearts and lives.

Our Mum was the heart and foundation of our family—kind, compassionate and quietly strong. A devoted mother and mentor; she will always be remembered for her wisdom and her unshakable belief in the power of integrity. She had a unique way of making everyone feel valued, always putting family first and offering support without hesitation. She believed deeply in community, mentorship, and leaving the world better than she found it.

Her legacy lives on in the many lives she influenced, the opportunities she created, and the values she instilled in all who knew her.

Forever loved, deeply missed and always remembered by her children, family and friends. Our sister Lizzie Wanyoike was a remarkable down-to-earth woman of strength and an entrepreneur loved by all who knew her for her generosity and encouragement. She never believed in luck but hard work. Her focus was not to leave behind those with various challenges in life mentally and physically. She uplifted many lives. She believed in YES YOU CAN.

We will keep her in our hearts and celebrate her with love always
