Grace Wanjiku Mbau

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our Mum, Aunt and Sister in Christ, Grace Wanjiku Mbau, who went to be with the Lord on 12th December 2016 after a short illness.
Daughter of Merius Nyawira and Ng’era Muriithi. Daughter-in-law of the late Gibson Warani and the late Milkah Waithera. Beloved wife of James Mbau. Mother of Patrick Warani. Sister of Jane Wangari, Eunice Wanjiru, Samuel Muriithi, Stephen Ndung’u, Joyce Wairimu, Elizabeth Muthoni, Hannah Watetu, Nancy Njeri and Martha Wamuyu. Sister-in-law of the late Ndung’u, Alice Njeri, Jacinta Wanjiku, Peter Njoroge and the late Njuguna. Mother-in-law of Betty Rotich. Grandmother of Blessing and Samarie and aunty of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at their home in Buruburu Phase IV, Nairobi from 6pm. A memorial service in honour of the late Grace will be held at ACK St. James Buruburu at 2pm on Thursday 15th December 2016.
The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home on Friday, 16th December 2016 at 8.30am for a funeral service and burial at Kahethu village, Kigumo in Murang’a.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Stephen Githinji Njuru of Manipal International Printing Press Limited on 10th December 2016, during the Naivasha accident.
Son of the late Peter Njuru Kioria and Phoebe Njoki Kioria of Thuita Village, Murang’a County. Loving husband of Leah Wanja. Devoted father of the late Peter Njuru, Phoebe Njoki, Kennedy Gichuhi, Joyce Wambui and Izaura Wanja. Grandfather of Chelsea, Melvin, Jaden and late Steve. Brother of Edwin Kioria, Salome Karumba, Catherine Kioi, Naomi Kimotho, Lawrence Gathiga, Keziah Kimani, Jane Kimani, John Kanguru Njuru, Nicholas Njoka and Eutycus Wambugu Njuru. Much loved nephew, cousin and uncle of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Tuala, after Nazarene University, Thuita Village, Kamacharia sub-district, Murang’a County and Nairobi Baptist Church Ngong’ Road on Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th starting from 5pm.
Funeral arrangement will be announced later.

Caring father of Patrick Makanga (Britam Nairobi), June Makanga (KPMG) and Cindy Makanga. Brother of the late Raphael, late Cathy, Robin, late Anne, Margaret and the late Tom.
Brother in law of Phanice, late James, late Anne, Jessica, Joyce, Eunice, Judy, Ben Nyawanda, Dominic Gitau, Amiri, late Job among others.
 
Uncle of Sandra, Elsie, Elvis (USA), Tony, Johnny, Violet, Silas, Wycliffe, Betty, Monday (Britain), Rose, James, among others. Father in law of Loise Mbogo and Moses Mbogo and Moses Njenga. Grandfather of Jabali, Ainea, Opete and others.
 
Burial will be on the 17th December 2016 at his home in Esalwa village, Vihiga County.

Jonas Zilmer Johansen

It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Jonas Zilmer Johansen announces his sudden and untimely death.
Jonas was born on December 4, 1985 in Skanderborg, Denmark, and migrated to Kenya with his family on March 1,1991. He was a geologist from University of Copenhagen, wildlife enthusiast and nature-lover, and became friends with people of all walks of life. Jonas lived an eventful and good life, which took him to the jungle of Cameroon, Greenland, Svalbard, the North Pole, and the tanzanite mines of Mererani among many other places on our Earth. He died on December 2, 2016 in Kikuyu.
Son of Ole Vestergaard Johansen & Ruth Akinyi Johansen and Annie Zilmer Ehrenreich & Jorgen Skov Andersen; brother to Anne Katrine, Sofle, Ida and Tedreagan; grandson of Else Johansen, Rose Apamo, Walther Ehrenreich, Anne Marie Drejer. The body was cremated at Hindu Crematorium, Kariokor, on Sunday December 11 and the close family will spread the ashes on selected places that Jonas loved in Kenya.
 A celebration of his life will take place at a memorial on the family farm near Oloosirkon/Tuala, past Nazarene University, on Saturday December 17 from 1pm to 4 pm and in Denmark by end of December.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of George Gakumo Mwangi. Son of the late Geoffrey Mwangi Gakumo and Leah Nyambura and Loise Wambui.
Husband of the late Irene Waithira & Alice Nyokabi of Kenyatta National Hospital. Father of Allan Mwangi, Bryan Mungai, Caroline Nyambura of DPP & Davison Njenga. Grand father of Stacy Nyokabi. Father-in-law of Terry Karimi and uncle of many.
Brother of Nancy Murimi, Gakumo Mwangi, Charles Ndung’u, John Warui, J.N. Mwangi of Parliament, Samuel Njoroge, Emma Njoroge, Agnes Gichohi, Warui Mwangi, Samson Ngugi, Miriam Wanjiru and Benson Njuguna.
Relatives and friends are meeting at his home in Buruburu, his Kiriko, Naaro home and at St. Dominic Hall, Holy Family Basilica – Nairobi. 
Burial will be on Friday 16th December 2016 at Kiriko, Naaro, Ngararia Location, Kandara, Murang’a County. The funeral mass will be held at the graveside.

Brother of Isabel Wambui, Everlyne Wanjiku, Michael Chege and Mark Mwangi. Grandson of John & Isabella Kimanga of Gathage-Gatundu South, and Late George & Salome Chege of Racecourse Ngong. Nephew of Patrick Kimanga, Peter Kimanga, George Kimanga, Pastor Lucy Wangari, Mary Nyokabi, Patrick Chege and Joe Chege among others.
The cortege leaves Pandya Mortuary for Funeral service and burial, on Friday 16th December, 2016 at Mbaraki Cemetery Mombasa from 11am.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at the parent’s home, 1st Avenue Nyali, and at Terrace Villa Hotel Nyali.

Father of Joseph Kulu, the late Cosmas Kutu, the late Francis Mwandi, Julian Kusungwa, Angnes Mwanziu, Boniface Mutilu, George Mull, Elijah Mwanzia, Benedict Mwendwa,Tirus Kiilu, Peter Abednego, Edward Mutuku, Esther Mwikali, David Mwandia, Eric Makau, Stanley Mutua, Mathew Musyoka, Naomi Nduku, Shedrack Kyalo and Stephen Mutisya.
