It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Mariamu (Mainie) Nang’ichunkop Lekirgotty on 28/11/2016 in Nakuru. The late Mariamu was born in the year 1938 at Salabani village, Salabani Location of Marigat Sub-County, Baringo County. First born and only daughter of the late Mzee Leterewa Lekilinyo and the late Noolkiama Lekilinyo.
Wife of the late Nadumei Lekirgotty. Mother of Simeon Olekirgotty (Secretary Devolution and Inter-governmental Relation), the late Mary Lebene, the late Bernard, John, the late Esther, Helen Lekesio and the late Emily Lekosek. Sister of Joel Lekilinyo (Rtd AP), Amani, Lekur, Elijah and the late Joseph Oria Lekilinyo. Cousin Sister of Henry Papale Lekilinyo (KDF), Paulo Tanyaswa Kilinyo (AP) and sons of the late Lasike Kilinyo. Also cousin of the families of Lesikamoi, Leparteneu, Lenabori and Leparkolwa among others.
Family and Friends are meeting daily from 5.00 pm for funeral arrangements at Salabani, Nakuru and at Karen, Nairobi.
The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru, on 10th December 2016 at 8am and proceeds to her Salabani home, Marigat sub-county, Baringo County for funeral Mass and Burial.

Sister-in-law of the late Munzaa & Kivinga Ngoli, the late Kalala & Mbaku Ngoli and the late Munyoki Mue. Cousin of Kathanzu among others. Family and Friends have planned for a mini harambee on Wednesday, 7th December at KICC Rapid Restaurant from 5.30pm. The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Saturday, 10th December for burial at Kivui vllage, Matinyani District in Kitui County.

2/12/2016 through a tragic road accident. Son of the late Mzee Michael Awuor Asoma and Mama Francisca Asoma of Nyabeda Village, Siaya County. Husband of Susan Obado of Kymms Gardens, Nairobi. Father of Erick junior Ochiene (Strathmore Law School) and Mike Alvin Owino (Whitestar Academy). Brother ofVitalis Otieno (Choma Annex Ugunja), the late Martin Onyango, the late Joseph Oduor, Consolata Opiyo (Opondo Pri. School), Eunice Asoma (NAS) Christine Asoma-Makoloo (KPLC), the late Trizah Adhiambo, the late Vincent Nuoga, Joan Apiyo (Kenyatta University) and Pauline Adongo. Nephew of the late Agare Asoma, the late Okello Asoma, Ahenda Asoma, the late Mama Cecilia Musingo, Joseph Odhiambo, Maria Adipo, Peter Onyuma and the late Sebastian Odudo. He was son-in-law of the late Mzee Jason Obado and Mama Rebecca Obado of Alego Kaugagi, Hawinga. Brother-in-law of Laura Akeito, the late Samuel Opiyo,Walter Obado Ookok,Winnie Owira, j.j Obado, Prof. Grace Obado and Maurice Makoloo. He is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives will meet today, Tuesday 6/12/2016 and Thursday (8/12/2016) at St. Andrews PCEA Church, Nyerere Road, Nairobi at 5pm to raise funds to offset funeral expenses. On Wednesday 7/12/2016, meeting will be held at his residence, Lang’ata NHC Estate Phase 2A Hse. 345 at 6pm.

Father of Alfred Kirimi, Martha Tande, the late Silas Marira, Isabella Ayonga, Josephine Muthomi, Lawrence Mwandiki, Boniface Mutua and Evelyn Kaimenyi. Father-in-law of Tarsilia Mpinda, Kephar Tande, Edmund Ayonga, John Muthomi, the late Irene Wambui, and Purity Mukiri. Uncle, grandfather and great grandfather of many.
