Family and friends will be meeting on Tuesday 7th February 2017 at Professional Centre Room I for fund-raising. The cortege leaves Gucha Funeral Home (Keroka) on Wednesday 8th February 2017. Burial will be at his home in Chitago village. Nyankoba Sub-location, Nyamira County on Thursday 9th February 2017.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Gilbert Gaitho Njeri of KDF on 29 January 2017 following a tragic road accident on the Nakuru – Nairobi Highway. Son of Beatrice Njeri Gaitho. Grandson of Wamuyu Gaitho and the late Gilbert Gaitho. Nephew of Lucy Gaitho, Florence Gaitho, the late Damaris Gaitho, Macharia Gaitho (Umo)a), Agnes Macharia, Catherine Wanjiru (Eldoret), Maina Gaitho (Makongeni), Beatrice Maina and Nancy Wakiuru. Cousin of Gladys Gaitho (Kenya Police Service), Gilbert Gaitho (Knit), Caroline Gaitho, Bethah Nyambura, Titus Njuguna, Ian lrungu, Erick Gaitho, Elmer Wamuyu, Winsly Wamuyu, Victor Gaitho, Anthony Gaitho, Ryanne Kariuki, Sam Obiero, Angle Aoko. Burial arrangement meetings are ongoing daily at Nairobi Magomano Hotel 4th Floor Room 5C at 1800 hrs and at Kangurwe Mukurweini, Nyeri.

The cortege leaves The Defence Forces Memorial Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 7th February 2017 at 0800 hrs for burial at Kangurwe, Mukurweini, Nyeri County.

Gilbert, we thank God for letting your star shine imprinting our hearts. Heros do not pass away, they simply fade away. God’s plans are greater than ours. Rest in peace till we meet again.

Daughter of the late Patrick Kuria Lawi and the late Gladwell Gathoni. Beloved wife of the late Geoffrey Gathenji Njoroge (GG) of Ondiri Farm, Kikuyu. Mother of Richard Njoroge, Patrick Kuria, John Mburu, Susan Wanjiku and Lisa Allison Gathoni. Sister of the late Mary Wambui, the late James Paul Iguku, Elizabeth Merl and Margaret Wanjiru Linsley. Daughter-in-law of the late Richard Njoroge Kabaa and the late Esther Wanjiku Gathenji. Sister-in-law of the late John Kabaa, Margaret Wambui Kiambuthi, the late Joan Wairimu Thiong’o, the late Henry Kuria, the late Nancy Nyambura and Mercy Wamaitha Ndegwa. Mother-in-law of Catherine Wambui. Grandmother of Gathenji Njoroge, Ndung’u and Karura. Aunty to many.

Prayer meetings are being held daily at her home at Ondiri Farm, Kikuyu. A memorial service will take place on Sunday 5th February 2017 at 2pm at the same venue.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Tuesday 7th February 2017 at 7am for the burial and service at 11am at Ondiri Farm (GG’s farm), Kikuyu.

Son of the late Elkana Martin Assoyo and late Festus Agutu Assoyo.

Devoted husband of Joyce Kahindiza Owiti (formerly of Immigration Department). Loving father of Michael Assoyo (LUCASE), Linda Adhiambo (Peponi School) and Brenda Imali (ICPAK).

Brother of the late Nicholas, late Joachim, Elizabeth (UK), John and Pauline. In-law of the late Musa Mulaya and late Dorcas Chimba. Cousin of Eng. Bob Odawa, Eng. George MacOdawa, Jacob Sega among others. Grandfather of Ashley Lorna Arigi (Thomas Burke Primary).

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Thursday 9th February 2017 for a Requiem mass at Holy Family Basilica at 2pm. Burial will take place on Saturday 11th February 2017 at his home in Riwa West Asembo at 9:00am.

APPRECIATION

We, the family of Esther Kiarie thank God for the gift she was to us as a wife, grandmother, and sister, and to the body of Christ as a whole. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support received in many heartfelt forms in this season. Thanks in joining us in the gloriously sending her off, for sharing your warm memories with us, for your kindness and your generous donations in her honour.

A special thank you to Dr Gladwell Kiarie and her team who attended to her while she was ill, Irene Kajuki who cared for her from home, Grace from UAP Insurance and Anne Wangari. We truly appreciate Bishop Ken Kimiywe & CITAM Valley Road Church) and Rev. Jackson Mbuthia who led the celebrations of her life during the services, and her church family at Glory Worship Centre. To the various ministries Esther was blessed to he associated with, thank you for serving with her and walking with her until God called her home.

We also acknowledge the committees in Nairobi and the Nyandarua County Government and local administration, for their sacrifice in ensuring Esther was well celebrated and laid to rest, and especially thank Mr John Murugu and his family for their support and encouragement. We truly thank God for everyone who walked this journey with us and continue to do so.

It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the passing on of our dear loving father Henry Inyingi M’Muchomba of Mboone village, Kiegoi sub location, Igembe South, Meru County which occurred on Sunday 29th January, 2017 at Maua Methodist Hospital after a short illness.

Son of the late Muchomba and Kanyiri. Loving husband of Janet Karuri and father of Kobia Inyingi, Julius Inyingi of Meru County Government, Zakayo Inyingi, Mukomaua Mung’athia, Jeremiah Inyingi, Morris Inyingi, James Inyingi, Koome Inyingi and Christine Inyingi. Father-in-law of Mary, Lucy, Kanaario, Mukiri, Karambu, Gakii and Catherine. He has left behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother of Ncii, Kaluma, Ciong’ondu and late Murungi.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Mboone Kiegoi, Central Cafe Maua Town and Mombasa Village (Mombasa) at 4pm. The cortege leaves Maua Methodist Hospital mortuary on Saturday 4th February 2017 at 9am, for a funeral service t Kiegoi Primary School Grounds and there after he will be laid to rest at his farm in Mboone.

Beloved husband of Fatma (nee Rashid). Cherished father of Yasmin, Ali, Sadruddin, Kwei and Seema, and treasured grandfather of Aliyan„ Hassan, Ehsan and Avantika. Dearly loved brother of Noorali, Zaitoon, the late Khatun, Musa, Roshan, the late Fatehali, Mary, the late Amir, Ashraf, Pyarali, Fareeda, Shiraz, Abdul, Nurjehan, Munira and Nazir. Much loved by his extended family and friends here in Kenya and around the world.

Funeral Services will be held at the a Khan Ismaili Pavilion on Limuru Road on Sunday 5th February at 9am. The cortege will depart at 10am.
