Peacefully sleeping, resting at last, The world’s weary trouble and trials are past. In silence she suffered, in patience she bore, Till God called her home to suffer no more.
One year has passed since that sad day, When the one we loved was called away. God took her home; it was His will, But in our hearts she liveth still.

He was son of David Mutua and Joyce Muthee Mutua, Husband of Magdalene Mueni Kavyu of Co-operative Bank, Machakos. Father of Shannel Teve and Givens Teve Brother of Moses Mbithi Mutua of the KDF. Brother-in-law to Jane Mbithi Mutua and uncle to Ryan Mutua. Son-in-law to Joseph Mutua Kavyu and Grace Mwikali Mutua. Nephew to Joel Mbithi, Jonah Mutiso,Torn and Agnes Mutua, the late Mutuku, Milcah and Mirriam. Cousin to Alex Muthusi (Australia), Patrick Mbithi (County Government of Machakos), Chris, Mary, Nduku, Nzioka, Joy Luttson, Lillian Nganga and H.E Governor Dr Alfred Mutua (Machakos),Anne,Teve, Moses among others.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his Kyamuthilu home, Masii, Machakos Social Hall and Garden Square, Nairobi from 4PM for funeral arrangements. 11 years On We Remember

We remember our beloved Patrick with thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness great love, comfort and presence in our lives since he went to be with the Lord, 11 years ago.

John Mwicha Mwatu (GM, KURA); Chuhi and Eva Naputuni Nyoike (Acorn Special Tutorials); Nduhiu Nyoike and Mercy Nduhiu; Wamuyu Manyara and Manyara Kamau. Doting Grandmother of Wald Amanda, Shawn Ngao, Samantha Wairimu, Kimani, Wairimu, Naimutie, Mwara, Malaika, Kimani, Kiilu, Nyoike, Wanjiru, Wairimu, Njeri and Mwara. She was Sister of the late Rahab Ndirangu, Joram Wachira, Joyce Lyimo, James Change, the late Patterson Kiai, and Ndirangu wa Evans. Sister-in-Law to many.

Family and Friends are meeting at St. Andrew’s PCEA Church, Nairobi on Tuesday (25th April 2017) and Wednesday (26th April 2017) evening from 5:30 p.m. and at PCEA Macedonia Church, Athi River from Monday (24th April 2017) to Wednesday (26th April 2017).

Wife of the late Harun Kimani, Mother of Elizabeth Wambui, Grace Wahu D’silva, Jeff Kihuria (Happy Wholesalers), Isaac Ng’ang’a (Kilifi),Tabitha Mugure Kamui (Ndarugo Primary School Njoro), Ruth Wanjiru Mirara (Race Course Primary School, Nakuru), the late Peter Njau and Salome Wairimu.

Sister of Jemima Nieri, and the late Elizabeth Wairimu Muhia, Priscilla Wanjiru Kihara, William Waituika and Susan Wambui Gaceru. Grandmother and Great grandmother of many.

The cortege leaves Gatundu Level Four Hospital Morgue at 9am on 26/04/2017 to proceed for church service at Handege PCEA Church and there after she we will be laid to rest at her Home in Nguburi village.

It is with a mix of celebration of the Lord’s blessings and heavy hearts that we announce the passing on of our dear mum, sister, mum in law, auntie, cucu, friend and above all, a believer and tenacious fighter for freedom.

Wamutwari was the daughter of the late Luka and Pauline Wairimu Muhia. Sister of the late Michael Macharia, the late Peter Njuguna, Rev. Stephen Muhia & Anne Mwaura, and Joseph & Fidelis Ngugi. Mother of Thomas Mutwari, Mary Wambui, Josphat Mwaura, Elizabeth Wairimu & Jane Muthoni Gakwa, the late Michael  Macharia, Lucy Waithera Chege, Salome Nyambura, Francis Gitau and John Karanja. She was especially cared for by Rose Wanjiru Karanja.

Wamutwari is an auntie to many and leaves behind many tucucus and tucukuru.

Friends and relatives are meeting at St Andrews PCEA Church from 5.30pm on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st April 2017. Meetings are also being held daily at her home in Riabai Village, Kiambu County.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan University Hospital on Tuesday 25th April 2017 at 8am for a requiem mass to be held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiambu. This will be followed by burial at her home in Riabai Village.

She has fought the good fight. Now she has taken her final bow to rest in eternal peace.
