Father-in-law of John Gikandi, Lucy Nganga (KILIMO House), Pamela Macharia, Nancy Kuria and the late Roseline Nafula Muiruri.

A thanksgiving service will be held at House 227 Gigiri Gardens (opposite US Embassy) in Gigiri on Monday 12th June, 2017 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm (followed by daily prayers).

Margaret Wanjiru Wanjui

It is with great sadness that we share with you that our beloved Margaret Wanjiru Wanjui went to be with the Lord in heaven on Thursday, May 25, 2017.
It was a sudden and unexpected loss. We find some small comfort in knowing that she was on her way to church that morning to celebrate the Feast of the Ascension, which commemorates the Christian belief of Jesus’ ascension into heaven.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church (15th & V Streets, NW) in Washington, DC. There will be a viewing and rosary recitation starting at 10am, and the Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11am. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in NE DC. The location for the repast will be shared at the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in memory of Margaret Wanjui to St. Augustine Church, 1419 V Street NW, Washington, DC 20009. Margaret was an active parishioner at St. Augustine Church for close to 50 years.
She is survived by five children, Clement Mbote, James Mbote, Theresa Atta, Peter Atta and Michael Atta; five sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She served as Head Cook at Christ House for over 30 years.

Bishop Dr Josiah Thuku Kambutu

It is with a heavy heart that we Announce the death of Bishop Dr. Josiah Thuku Kambutu on Thursday, June 1st, 2017. Dr. Josiah Thuku was born on December 13th, 1953 in Nairobi, Kenya. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in September 2016 and continued treatments until his passing.

He was the Founder of House of Fellowship Church of God where he served faithfully as the Senior Pastor.

He has left behind his widow Joyce Thuku, Sons, Irungu, Mwanzia, Moses, Karungu, Joshua and daughter Kafura.

Friends are meeting daily at the Family Residence located at 4440 Briarwood Ct. S. Annandale, VA 22003 on Mondays to Saturday at 7:30 pm and on Sundays at 6:30 pm.

We thank God for the life, love and time we shared with Ruth K. Robert, a loving and peaceful mentor who passed away on Sunday 4th June 17 at her home in Kithaku, Katheri-Meru. She had a full life well lived for 94 years. She was a loving wife to the Late Robert M’turuciu Baituru and a beloved mother to the Late Julius Muthuri (Katheri), Harriet K. Mwirigi (Nanyuki), Murungi Baituru (Chuka) and Phillip Guantai (Katheri Boys). A caring step mother to the Late Elizabeth Marete, Late Silah Kathambi, Kinanu Mhurugu, Evangeline Bariu and Henry Mwongera Robert. A loving mother-in-law to Emily Muthuri, Late Stephen Mwirigi M’inoti, Fatuma Murungi and Stella Guantai. The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Palour on 15th June 2017.The first service will be conducted at Chiromo Mortuary while the second service will be conducted at Uhuru Estate. Both will be led by the Gospel Holiness Church.The burial ceremony will be held on Saturday 17th June 2017 at his home in East Uyoma Rageneni.

Loise Wangu Chegge

On Friday, June 2nd 2017, our beloved Loise Wangu Chegge passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Loise was a faithful and kind wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who gave of herself to those she met.
She was generous, warm and hospitable, opening her heart and her home to every one.
Loise was a founding and active member of Kanitha ya Utugi wa Magegania, now known as Church of Amazing Grace International in Santa Ana, California. As an ordained elder in the church, Loise mentored and was a spiritual mother to many young women, teaching them to serve and honour the Lord.
