We sadly announce the untimely demise of Mr. Madan Mohan Varma (Kuku) following a bravely fought battle with illness on 5th July 2017.

Husband of Reena Varma and son of Late Sher Singh Varma of Athi River and Late Kailash Varma. Father of Neha, Arjun, Siddarth and Shyam. Brother of Sunit Varma and brother in law of Sumira. Son-in-law of Mrs. Krishna Chawla and Late Nanak Chawla. Brother-in-law of Priya and Amit Chawla.

We thank the doctors and Nursing staff of Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai.

Our sincere appreciation to all relatives and friends who have stood by the family through this difficult time.

The cortege will leave from his residence, 608 Green Park, Mombasa Road on Sunday 9th July 2017 at 1.00pm and proceed to Hindu Crematorium, Kariokor at 2.30pm

Loving sister of Dorothy Kamathi (Kibirichia Girls), Linda Nkatha (Nairobi), Rhoda Kajuuju (Kimachia Secondary), Lilian Kathuure and Muriira Mwilaria (Student Igoki Boys). Sister-in-law of Eutycus. Beloved cousin of Purity, Munene, Kaume, Bonnie, Rita among many others. Niece of Mwathathi, Kinoti, Janet among others. She was an awesome aunt of Mwesh and Amanda. A friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at her father’s home in Mbeu Location, Kibuline Sublocation. The cortege leaves St. Theresa’s Mission Hospital- Kiirua on Tuesday 11th July 2017 at 9:00am for a church service at M.C.K Kibuline Mbeu and thereafter burial at her father’s homein Kibuline.

Gilbert Muchoki Kirera of Harlow, Essex, lost his mother in Kenya, Monica Njoki Kirera on Thursday 6th July, 2017.

The late Monica was the wife of the late Danson Kirera Muri of Kamahuha location 17, Maragwa District.

She is the mother of Gilbert (Harlow-UK), Rev. Gachucha (USA), Mburu, Murigi, Capt Kirera (Air Kenya), Peris, Rosemary, Muiruri and the late chief Mburu (Maragwa Ridge location) among others.

Grandmother of Captain Wanyoike (KQ), Gichuru, Lydia (Dubai), Jane (USA), Anne, Judy, Jimmy, Phillip among many other grandchildren.

Burial takes place in Kenya on Thursday 13th July 2017.

10th Anniversary

Ifs 10 years since you left us to be with our Lord. Days and weeks have gradually turned to months then 10 years long years. We are grateful to our Heavenly Father for the great love and comfort He has given us. We the family of the late Richard Nyandika, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the almighty God for the life we shared with our beloved father- Richard.

The Wathutta family wishes to announce the death of Peter Martin Wathutta on 2 July 2017 following a short illness.

He was son of the late Rufus Kiroro Wanjohi and Hannah Wahiga Wanjohi. Foster Son of the late Mr and Mrs Stanley Kinga Mwendia. Son in-law to the late Jesse Kariuki and Jemimah Wariga. Husband of Irene Nyambura Wathutta. Father of James Kariuki, Rufus Mwangi and Anthony Wanjohi. Father in-law of Wangare Hassan and Comfort Kananu. Grandfather of AbdulMalik Wathutta, Abdalla Mwangi and Ray Wathutta. Brother, cousin, uncle and friend to many.

Daily Meetings are going on in town at Antonio’s Grill Restaurant and at his home in Choka off-Kangundo Rd. It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dr. Owino Agaya Okwiri (The University of Nairobi) on 1st July, 2017.

Loving husband of the late Gorety Akelo Okwiri. Father of Caroline Fiona Okwiri (UK), Owino Agaya Okwiri Jnr (UK) and Oki Agaya Okwiri (UoN). Grandfather of Harvey.

Son of the late Peter Okwiri Mgenya and Monica Adhiambo Okwiri. Brother of the late Benard, Vitalis, Florence, Domtilla, Luke, Angeline, John, Fortunatus, Jenipher (USA), Joab, Crispin, Peter. Uncle of many.

Friends and family will be meeting at Parklands Baptist Church, Class 2H, Westlands, on 6th July 2017 from 6.30pm to finalise burial arrangements.

There will be a requiem mass at St Jude’s Chapel on Rhapta Road, Westlands, on 8th July starting at 10.00am. Thereafter burial will take place at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Father of the late Nancy Nduta, John Cuna (KDF David Kahindi, Daniel Mungai (KDF Kahawa), Samuel Ngugi (Jacaranda Hotels Westlands), Rachael Wanjiru (KCB Kiserian) and Naomi Njoki. Father-in-law of Stephen Mungai Nguitui (Luprom Kitengela), Wambui Cuna, Beatrice Njeri, Hannah Nyawaru,Alice Wacu & Edwin Munyambu. Funeral arrangements are done daily from 5.00pm at his home Kangemi Gichagi. The cortege leaves Umash funeral Home on Tuesday 11th July 2017 at 8.00am. Funeral service will be held at ACK St. johns Kangemi followed by the burial at his home Nyambari Sub-location, Gitithia Location, Lari Division, Kiambu County.

From God we came to God we shall Return. God Grant peace and eternal Rest to his Noble Soul. AMEN.
