Husband of Reena Varma and son of Late Sher Singh Varma of Athi River and Late Kailash Varma. Father of Neha, Arjun, Siddarth and Shyam. Brother of Sunit Varma and brother in law of Sumira. Son-in-law of Mrs. Krishna Chawla and Late Nanak Chawla. Brother-in-law of Priya and Amit Chawla.

Family and friends are meeting at her father’s home in Mbeu Location, Kibuline Sublocation. The cortege leaves St. Theresa’s Mission Hospital- Kiirua on Tuesday 11th July 2017 at 9:00am for a church service at M.C.K Kibuline Mbeu and thereafter burial at her father’s homein Kibuline.

Gilbert Muchoki Kirera of Harlow, Essex, lost his mother in Kenya, Monica Njoki Kirera on Thursday 6th July, 2017.

The late Monica was the wife of the late Danson Kirera Muri of Kamahuha location 17, Maragwa District.

She is the mother of Gilbert (Harlow-UK), Rev. Gachucha (USA), Mburu, Murigi, Capt Kirera (Air Kenya), Peris, Rosemary, Muiruri and the late chief Mburu (Maragwa Ridge location) among others.

Grandmother of Captain Wanyoike (KQ), Gichuru, Lydia (Dubai), Jane (USA), Anne, Judy, Jimmy, Phillip among many other grandchildren.

Burial takes place in Kenya on Thursday 13th July 2017.

He was son of the late Rufus Kiroro Wanjohi and Hannah Wahiga Wanjohi. Foster Son of the late Mr and Mrs Stanley Kinga Mwendia. Son in-law to the late Jesse Kariuki and Jemimah Wariga. Husband of Irene Nyambura Wathutta. Father of James Kariuki, Rufus Mwangi and Anthony Wanjohi. Father in-law of Wangare Hassan and Comfort Kananu. Grandfather of AbdulMalik Wathutta, Abdalla Mwangi and Ray Wathutta. Brother, cousin, uncle and friend to many.

Loving husband of the late Gorety Akelo Okwiri. Father of Caroline Fiona Okwiri (UK), Owino Agaya Okwiri Jnr (UK) and Oki Agaya Okwiri (UoN). Grandfather of Harvey.

Son of the late Peter Okwiri Mgenya and Monica Adhiambo Okwiri. Brother of the late Benard, Vitalis, Florence, Domtilla, Luke, Angeline, John, Fortunatus, Jenipher (USA), Joab, Crispin, Peter. Uncle of many.

Friends and family will be meeting at Parklands Baptist Church, Class 2H, Westlands, on 6th July 2017 from 6.30pm to finalise burial arrangements.

There will be a requiem mass at St Jude’s Chapel on Rhapta Road, Westlands, on 8th July starting at 10.00am. Thereafter burial will take place at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Funeral service will be held at ACK St. johns Kangemi followed by the burial at his home Nyambari Sub-location, Gitithia Location, Lari Division, Kiambu County.
