Sister of late Peter Kaguora Gichuru, the late Wambui Waiganjo and the late Wilson Wachira Gichuru. Step-sister of Mwalimu Timothy Kanyi Gichuru among others. Loving mother of Rev. Daniel Kamau Nguyo, late Peris Wambui Kamau and Tabitha Thuguri Kamau and Mwalimu E. K. Nguyo and Mary Njeri Karitu. Grandmother of Patrick Nguyo Kamau and Kellen Karimi Nguyo, ames Gachomo Kiruki and EstherWanjiku, Sammy Rono and Rachael Wairimu Rono, Martin Muita, Lilian Wanjiku Karitu, Brenda Wangari Karitu and Kelvin Nguyo Karitu. Nguyo’s home at Garden Estate-Nyeri, P.C.E.A St.Andrew’s Church, Nairobi and their rural home in Kihuri-Gaturuturu Village every day at 5.00pm for prayers.The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan Hospital) at 9.30am on 7th July, 2017 for a funeral service at A1PCA Gaturuturu Church from 10.30am and later the burial will take place at her Kihuri home.

Grandfather of Barbara, Ryan, Queen, Denis, Elvis and Katunge. Son-in-law of the late Daniel Katundu and the late Mukui Katundu. Brother of Michael, Patricia and Regina. DAMARIS WARURA MUCHIRU

20th July 1934 – 2nd of July 2017

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the death of Damaris Warura Muchiru on Sunday 2nd July 2017.

Damaris Warura Muchiru was born to the late Evan Michinji and Gladys Wambui Michinji on the 20th of July 1934 in Kihara, Kiambu. She was sister to the late David Mugenyu Michinji, Margaret Nyambura Mungai and Peter Njoroge Michinji.

She was the wife of the Late Mark Donald Muchiru Kanja (MD). She was mother of Kanja Muchiru, Kago Muchiru, Kuria Muchiru, Njenga Muchiru, Susan Muchiru and Angela Muchiru and mother in law to Muthoni Kuria.

She was the grandmother of Lula Wamoto, Nonny Gathoni, Muchiru Kuria, Mukami Kuria, Nyokabi Muchiru and Wangeci Muchiru. She was the great-grandmother of Phoebe Wamoto and Jaymie Wamoto.

Prayer meetings for friends and relatives wilt take place daily at the family home in Karen at 5.30pm

2nd Year Anniversary

Days have turned into two years since that painful moment when your citizenship ended and God took you home. We accepted His will and he has carried as through. We thank God that we had an opportunity to meet and experience your kindness. Kim, you are still alive and warm in our hearts as the pain and sorrow still lingers. A husband, a Father, a Son and a mentor you were.Your-service to God and humanity will never be forgotten. The family, the Church and your work held a special place in your heart. The cortege leaves Nkubu Consolata Mission Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 6th July at 9.00 a.m. Thereafter burial service at Ntemwene M.C.K Church at 12.00 noon. The burial will take place at his father’s farm Kionyone at Kathera Meru County.
