It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we regret to announce the death of Maxwell Gakure Kariuki Thuku which occurred on 28th June 2017 at Parklands Nairobi after a brutal murder. He was a fourth year Law student at Mount Kenya University, Parklands.

Son of Joseph Kariuki Thuku formerly of D.T Dobie Mombasa and Elizabeth Kariuki Thuku. Brother of Kevin Thuku Kariuki of ABC Bank, Mombasa. Brother-in-law of Christabel Ochanda Thuku. Uncle of Eli Joseph Kariuki Thuku and many more. Nephew of many uncles and aunties, cousin of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the deceased home in Gichanga Estate Nyali Mombasa, Lasco Club Mombasa, Holy family basilica, Nairobi and Kianjege West village, Kirinyaga County, for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary (KU) on 8th July, 2017 at 8.00am. Burial service will follow thereafter at their home in Kianjege West village, Kariti Ward, Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County.

Family and friends are meeting at Holy Family Basilica on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (3rd, 4th and 5th July) 5.30pm for funeral arrangements and daily at her home in Nyayo Embakasi (Court 782/1) for evening prayers. There will be a requiem mass on 5th July, 2017 at Christ King Church Embakasi at 4.00pm. The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on 6th July 2017 for a funeral service and burial from 9.00am at the family home in Muranga County.

4th Anniversary

It is exactly four years since you left us but it all seems like yesterday. We really miss you a lot and cherish your memories as we try to do all that you taught us.

Sister in law of the late Ombui, the late Ondari, late Ayuma. Mother of Pastor Zephania Nyambane of Kakamega, Dr. Thomas Nyamban e (USA), Robert (USA), Callen, florence and late Grace. She was Auntie of Jairus Ombui, Evans Ombui, Sophie Ombui, Ombati Ombui, Jared Ondari, Julius Ondari, Onchiri Ayuma, etc. She was grandmother of Eric, Duncan, Naomi, Rebecca,Timothy, Cyprian, Manduku, Nyaboke, Kelvin, Makoyojapheth, Benard, Caro,Abigael among others. Brother of Brenda Mumbi of Gatarakwa Girls Sec School, and Mercy Wairima of ViewPoint Junior School-Nyeri. Nephew of Wanja,Wachira (CID Nyeri), Nyawira, Macharia,Wahome of Starbuck Hotel, Waruguru of Karatina, Ann Kimiti (E.H.S), Wambugu,Wangare of KBS, Nyokabi, and Kihara. Grandson of the late Joseph Mugo Thitai and Ann Mumbi of Munyu Village,Charles Maimba and Naomi Wakarima of Qthaya.
