It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Q.S. Abner Sanya, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully on September 27th, 2024 after a short illness.

Born in Gem, Siaya, Abner pursued a life of dedication and achievement, earning his B.A (Hons). (Bldg. Econ.) MAAK (Q’S) from University of Nairobi.As a consultant quantity surveyor and co-founder of Ooro & Sanya Associates, Abner was a true pioneer in his field, contributing significantly to the development of the Quantity Surveying profession in Kenya.

He was a devoted family man, known for his deep generosity and quiet strength. His love for his family was a central part of his life, particularly his wife Abigail, his children Dorothy, Donald and Brenda, and his late mother Mama Doris.

He was the son of the late Festo Owino and the late Mama Doris Wanyangu Owino of Gem Nyawara. Son in law of the late Joel Mukoya and the late Linet Nyandiko Mukoya of Esalwa Bahati Village, Vihiga County.

He is survived by his wife Abigail Sanya of Gem, his daughter Dorothy Sanya Gautier of Maryland, son Donald Sanya of Massachusetts, and daughter Prof. Brenda Sanya of New York. Abner was also a cherished father-in-law of Mark Gautier and Edith Sanya, and a proud grandfather of Matthew Sanya Gautier.

Abner’s commitment to his family and his profession was matched by his warmth and kindness. His generosity touched the lives of many, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday October 10th at 2.00pm.

Abner will be airlifted to Kisumu on Friday October 11, with the burial ceremony taking place at his home in Gem, Siaya on Saturday October 12th 2024.

‘As we remember Abner, we take comfort in his full embodiment of the verse:”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” His legacy of love, faith, and generosity will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Ngari on Thursday 3rd October 2024 at his home in Kiambuu Village, Ngiriambu Location, Gicugu Constituency,
Kirinyaga County.

Phillip was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, whose warmth and kindness touched the hearts of all who knew him.

He was the beloved son of the late Cyrus Ngari and the Late Gladys Wanjira, and the cherished husband of Agnes
Kamori. Phillip was a loving father of the late Margaret Wanjira, Linus Mugo, Eustace Gachoki, the late Peris Wambui, Tabitha Wakarie, Simon Nyaga, Eunice Wangechi, Joyce Wanjiru, Mary Muthoni Muriuki, PS-Public Health, Jamleck Munene and Julius Mucira.

He was also a caring father-in-law of Margaret Wanjira, Catherine Wanjiku, Cosmas Waweru, Josephat Mureithi, Jason Nyaga. Agnes Wanjira and Phyllis Njeri all of whom brought great joy to his life.

Phillip will be lovingly remembered as a brother of John Gakono and the late Joyce Waruguru.

Meetings are being held daily at Woodgreen Park, Lavington and his home in Ngiriambu, Kirinyaga from 4.00 pm to 6.00pm to honor his memory, condole with the family and to prepare a befitting send off.

The burial date has been set for Friday 11th October, 2024 at his home in Kiambuu Village. The cortege will leave
Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Kabati at 7.00am for the funeral service at ACK St. Matthew Ngiriambu Church from 9.00 am. Thereafter, proceed to his home for the burial ceremony.

He will be laid to rest at his Magoye home in Port Victoria, Budalangi on Saturday 12th October, 2024 from 9.00am.

She was the daughter-in-law of the late Kabogo Kangethe and the late Elizabeth Njambi.

She was an auntie to many and a grandmother to 11 grandchildren.

Friends and family are meeting for daily prayers at their family home in Nginduri Village, Githunguri Sub County, next to Kiberethi Police Post.

The burial will take place on Tuesday 8th October 2024. The cortege leaves the KU Referral Funeral Home at 8:00am. The funeral service will take place at 10,00 am at her Nginduri residence.
