With heavy hearts and in acceptance of God’s perfect will, we announce the passing of Lukeson Kinoro Njeru, who peacefully rested on Sunday, 8th June 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illness.

Lukeson was the devoted husband of Dr. Chrocossicus N. Njeru, and a loving father of Gitonga and Murimi. He was a proud father-in-law of Sue, and a joyful grandfather of little Ax and Isla, who brought so much light into his later years.

Born of the late M’chambari Kinoro and the late Annah Kaguru, Lukeson grew into a man of principle, kindness, and quiet strength. He was a beloved brother of Mugambi, Mutegi, Ndeke, Basilio, Murithi, Gitonga, Mwireri, Kimathi, Mugendi, Mutembei, Mwangangi, Makena Purity, Murugi, and the late Kinyua.

Cherished brother-in-law of Alice, Nathan, the late Dr. Daniel Luvai, Nchira, Mukiria, Itumbi Kaindi, Mwende, Karimi, and Lucy.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, 13th June 2025, at his home in Katelembu near Zeros, Machakos County, starting 10:00 a.m. as we come together to celebrate a life so beautifully lived and dearly missed.

Mother of the late Kanyoro Mwangi, VVachira Mwangi (South Mara Enterprises), Solomon Mwangi (Buhier International), the late Njeri Maina, Waweru Mwangi (Decta Industries), Maina Mwangi (Mwangi Mbuthia Hardware and Autopak International Limited), Njogu Mwangi (Mwangi Mbuthia Cycle Dealers). and John Mwangi (Stoken Hardware Nyamakima).

Mother-in-law of Felista Nyokabi, Sarah Wambui, Mary Kagwiria, Phylis Nyokabi, Nancy Gathoni, Irene Wangui, and Lydia Njeri. Sister of the late Wangeci Mwangi, Gibson Wachira, and the late Mary Wangari.

Grandmother of Ciru, Njeri, Nimu, Winnie, Sonnie, Emma, Kenny, Alex, Louise, Venessa, Solo, Tabby, Kamau, Tabitha, Imelda, Grace, Shantel, Skylar, Shanna, Kelvin, Collins, Jasmine, Dylan, Byson, Yvonne, Danisa, Letticia, Alicia, Ngucl, and Nyambura. Great-grandmother and aunt of many.

Daily prayers and funeral arrangement meetings are being held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, and at the family home in Iganjo Gakindu, Mukurweini, starting at 5:00 p.m.

The cortege will leave Tumu Tumu Mission Hospital on Thursday, 19th June 2025 at 8:00 a.m., for a funeral service at PCEA Diaini Parish, after which she will be laid to rest at the family farm in Gakindu.

Appreciation

Following the demise and subsequent burial of the late Patrick Milimu Shilasi (Omar Bongo) we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all those who walked with us the journey from the time he was taken ill until when we laid him to rest.

First and foremost we want to thank UNICEF through Cigna International who for over 30 years stood in the gap and took care of his medical expenses until his demise. The Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu and Nairobi, Oasis Hospital in Kakamega. The Doctors who walked with him through this journey Dr. Ahmed Ali Yousef, Dr. Jill Singh, Dr. Jayden, Dr. Ngunga, Dr. Otieno the cardiologist.

Our appreciation also goes to Shirulu Parish Catholic Church, CMAK, Shikulu Jumuia, and ACK Embakasi. We want to thank the lbarimbuli Community and Makhaya clan, the committees both in Nairobi and at home in Kakamega, brothers, sisters , cousins, uncles aunties, brother in laws and sister in laws, nephews nieces, and neighbours.

We may not be able to mention everyone, but our gratitude goes to everyone who stood with us during the trying moment. May Almighty God bless you abundatly.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, sister and teacher, Dinah Kerubo Nyakweba, on 2nd June 2025 at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

Dinah was the beloved daughter of Nelson Kebira Oginda and Abigael Kemunto Kebira.

Loving wife of Kennedy Nyakweba. Cherished mother of Zachary, Faith, and Ruth Nyakweba.

Daughter-in-law of the late Sylvanus Nyakweba and Daniel Nyasimi, and Rael Mogiti, Jerusha Bwari, and Teresa Mong’are.

She was sister of Aaron, Beatrice, Joseph, the late Amos, Nyaribo, and Aburi.

Sister-in-law of David, James, Lawrence, George, Ronald, John, Moses, Jeremiah, Omwando, Zakayodoseph, Evans, Naftali, Joshua, Silas Makori, Dorcah, Queen, Gladys, Grace, Catherine, Beatrice, Esther, Zipporah, Everlyn, Marcella, and Mary Moraa. She was a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Dinah was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, worshipping at Rubi SDA Church, where she actively served in the Women’s Ministry and supported the Youth Department. A dedicated teacher of Special Needs Education, she served at Joyland Special School Kisumu and later at Kisii Special School until her passing.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, 13th June 2025 at her home in Mosocho, Kisii County, starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow thereafter.

It is with heavy and humbled hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ann waithira Karanja on May 28, 2025, while undergoing treatment for breast cancer at Birmingham, Alabama. USA

Her body will arrive in Kenya on Friday, June 13th, 2025. She will rest at KU-Referral mortuary with funeral processions scheduled for June 17th, 2025 at her Home Estate in Kiambu Ruthiru-ini (Karanja Mbui Residence).

Ann was a devoted & virtuous wife, mother, grandmother, and sister

The cortege will leave the Agakhan Mortuary Kisumu on Thursday 12th June 2025 for an overnight vigil at her residence in Migosi, Kisumu then to Seme, Kombija, Alwala Primary School grounds, Kisumu County on the 13th June 2025. Burial will be on the 14th June 2025 in Seme Kisumu County.

He was son of Martha Mugo.
