In loving memory of the late H.E Dr. Joyce Laboso Abonyo E.G.H.

Second Governor of Bomet County, Kenya

Commemorating Her 6th Anniversary – 29th July 2025

Six years have passed since you left us, yet your spirit remains a cherished presence in our hearts and in the lives you touched. You were not only our beloved mother and wife—you were a leader, a mentor, and a radiant force of love and grace.

Your commitment to service was matched only by your tenderness at home. In public life, you led with conviction, dignity, and vision: in private, you nurtured with warmth, wisdom, and humour. You taught us that compassion is power, and strength is found in gentleness.

Every laugh you shared, every word of encouragement, every moment of quiet strength still echoes in our lives. Your legacy lives in the values we uphold, the love we share, and the memories we treasure.

We remember you not with sorrow, but with gratitude and pride. The garden you planted continues to bloom –its roots deep, its fragrance enduring.
Forever loved. Forever missed.

With heartfelt remembrance, The Abonyo Family Edwin, Bryan,Ted, Mina & Marco

Poem: “Still She Blooms”
In morning hush and evening skies, Your memory lifts where dreams arise. A voice once near, still gently calls, In silent echoes through these halls.
You bloomed with grace, a steady flame, A heart that gave, a trusted name. Though time may pass, It cannot steal The love we hold, the strength we feel.
Your legacy, a golden thread, Wove” in every life you led. From fields of hope to justice halls, You stood for truth, you answered calls.

So here we stand, your children proud, Beneath your light, beyond the cloud. And in each dawn, in each life grown– You bloom again, in us, you’ve sown

23/05/1964 – 29/7/2021

4 Years on!

Darling Joe! It has been four years since I held your hand in mine. On 29:07 2021 you closed your eyes on us, never to open them again. The four years without you have been the longest, toughest and saddest.

Your tragic demise is still as traumatic & haunting for me your wife & our two sons. it is difficult to see beyond our grief. Hence no amount of time can heal the sorrow of your passing.

You empowered us so much but never taught us how to live without you. Losing you has been tormenting, learning to live without you has been harder.
In your life time you touched so many lives In your death many lives were changed. We dreamt of living a long life together. This dream was shattered. I cannot get over the pain of losing you
