Wife of Christopher Kaburia Karla. Mother of Peter Kaburia (KRA, Nairobi) and Nicholas Kaburia (Mukurweini Hospital, Nyeri County).

She was sister of the late Jackson Kinyua, the late Phelinanda Wanjeri Muriuki, the late Karera. Priscilla Wangui Kamaru, the late Lawrence Hiuhu and the late Muriuki. She was step sister of the late Joseph Gakuhi, the late Wanjeri, Shelmith Wambere Njeru, Elizabeth Wanjiru Muriithi, the late Samuel Githinji, the late Hiuhu and the late Njoki.

She was sister in-law of the late Gathigia Makunyi, the late Wainuku M’Kiara, the late Wanjiru and the late Flora Nyeri Gathenya.

She was mother in-law of Judy Naipanoi Thairu and Beatrice Wamaitha Matimu.

Dotting grandmother of Michael Nderitu & Beatrice Nderitu, Irene Wamuyu, Lesley Gathigia, Christopher Kaburia, Aaron Kaburia and Kephas Thairu. Great grandmother of Wendo Wamaitha. A loving aunt, grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at her home in Kariki Village, Karatina, at All Saints Cathedral CTC Room 8 and at her son’s Peter Kaburia’s home in Membley Park Estate, Ruiru from 5.00pm daily.

The cortege will leave Jamii Nursing Home, Karatina on 22nd July 2025 at 9.00am. Funeral will be at her home in Kariki Vi Mathira East Sub county, Nyeri County on Tuesday 22nd July 2025 at 10am.

Beatrice was the beloved wife of the late Benson Thuku Ngahu.

Daughter of the late Mahia Gatiiyu and Njeri Mahia, and sister of the late Mbuthia,Kibang’a, Wanjiru,Wanja, Gathoni, and Ndung’u Mahia.

She was a devoted mother of the late John Ngugi, the late Monica Mwihaki, Hezekiah Ndungu, Solomon Murigi, and Sabina Njeri. Mother-in-law of Beatrice Wanjiru, the late Joseph Karanja, Joyce Wanjiku, Loise Mugure, and the late Charles Mwaura. She was a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to many.

He was the in-law of the late Elizabeth and Thomas Mwangi and the late Gerald and Nancy Mwangi.

He was a cherished grandfather of Victor Wahome, Joyanne, Victor Mwangi, Roy, Clarence, Angel, Shekinah,Wesley and Anna. He was a loving uncle to many.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing daily at his home in Gathumbi Village, Othaya, and at Blue Springs Hotel, Nairobi, from 6:00 PM.

The cortege will leave Mwai Kibaki Level 6 Funeral Home, Othaya, on Friday, 18th July 2025, at 8:30 AM. Thereafter, a funeral service will be held at A.I.P.C.A. Gathumbi Church, lria-ini Ward, Othaya, followed by burial at his home on the same day.
