It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Beatrice Wanjeri (wa-Karungari), formerly of Murang’a Municipal Council and the Murang’a County Assembly. She was a respected business woman in Murang’a Town.

She was the beloved mother of Leah Karungari and Jonah Wagunya.

Daughter of the late Jonah Wagunya and the late Phyllis Gathoni Wagunya. Beatrice was a dear sister of Edwin Mugetha, Elias Wanjama, Ruth Nyambura, Grace Wambui Kuria, the late Norman Kimani and Tabitha Wanjiru Mwaura.

Sister in love of Cecily Mugetha, Mary Wanjarna, late Stephen Macharia,Vincent Thiongo, Lucy Kimani and Joel Mwaura. She was a loving aunt, grandmother, and friend to many. Her presence and wisdom will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are gathering daily at Famous Hotel, Murang’a, and at her home in Murang’aTown (next to KAG Church) from 7:00 PM for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Kabati Mortuary on Friday, 18th July 2025, at 8:00 AM, for a funeral service at ACK St. James, Kanyenya-ini, from 11:00 AM. Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at the family home in Kanyenya-ini, Murang’a County.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK) announces the passing of Mr. Joseph W. Wasike, which occurred on Monday, 7th July, 2025, after a short illness.

He was the beloved son of the late Mr. Samwel Wasike and the late Mrs. Salina Waninda of Bungoma County. He was a loving brother of Margret, lsaac,Alice, and Joseph.

A memorial service in his honour will be held on Wednesday, 16th July, 2025, at The Co-operative University of Kenya, Main Campus – Karen, starting at 2:00 p.m.

The cortege will leave Life Care Hospital Mortuary, Bungoma. on Thursday, 17th July 2025, with the funeral service and interment scheduled for Friday, 15th July 2025, in Namwela Village, Chwele – Bungoma County.

Joseph will be fondly remembered for his humility and exemplary service. His legacy continues to inspire all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Alex was the beloved son of Dr. Duncan Githiga Mwangi and Margaret Wangui Mwangi. Eldest brother of Paul Mbugua Githiga, Mary Wangari Githiga and Anne Wambui Githiga.

Father of Brian Mutuma and Mark Githiga.

He was a cherished nephew, cousin, and uncle of the Mwangi family of (chichi and Gitachu family of Gatanga, in Muranga, as well as a loyal and faithful friend to many over the years.

Lemayian was the beloved firstborn son of Professor Geoffrey Ole Maloiy and Mrs. Josephine Maloiy; a cherished brother of Dr Lanoi Maloiy and the late Kepamet Ole Maloiy.

Lemayian was the grandson of the late distinguished elder Oltaretoi Rokoi Lemayian Ole Maloiy and the late Mrs. Keis Maloiy.

Funeral arrangements are currently underway.

Lemayian will be laid to rest at his father’s angosua Ranch, located on the Kiserian lsinya road in Kajiado County on Saturday 19th July 2025.
