It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Dr. Gilbert Njuguna Muthee which occurred on 25th June 2025.

Son of the late Anthony Muthee Njuguna and the late Hannah Nyokabi Muthee.

He was the beloved husband of the late Retired Elder Mrs. Edith Mumbi Njuguna and cherished father of Anthony Mungai (Chrysal Africa, Anne Gathenji (USA) and William Gatoto (NCBA). He was a father-in-love of Phyllis Mungai, Leroy Gathenji and Wairimu Gatoto.

He was a brother of Esther Wambui, Lucy Mukere, Witfred Njogu, Arthur Kamanga and Daniel Njoroge.

He was a cherished Guka of Victor Njuguna Mungai. Nathan Muturi Mungai, Lisa Mumbi Mungai, Myron Mbuthi Gathenji, Meghan Wangari Gathenji, Myles Njuguna Gathenji, Mumbi Gatoto, and Njuguna Gatoto.

He was a son-in-law of the late William Gatoto and the late Esther Njeri Gatoto. His in-laws are the Muturis, Gathenjis and Wanyutus. Brother-in-law of Judy Wanjiku Gatoto, Daniel Wanyoike Gatoto, Peninah Mukami, Samuel Ngaru Gatoto, Lydia Mugure, Benedetta Nduta, Grace Ngendo and the late Joe Njau. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The cortege leaves Mukoe Funeral Home on Friday 4th July 2025 at 8.00 a.m. for a funeral service at the PCEA Gathangari Church at 10.30 a.m. The body will be interred at their home in Gitiha, Githunguri Sub-county, Kiambu County.

We announce with profound sadness and immense gratitude to God the passing of our Matriarch Ruth Wambui Murungaru (Wamuriuki) on Tuesday June 24, 2025 after a long and eventful life.

She was the widow of the late David Murungaru Gakuru and daughter of the late Muriuki wa Mvvirikia and Muthoni mwari wa Muchoki.

She was mother of Fredrick Wachira, Julius Muriuki, Christopher Ndarathi, the late Erastus Waniohi, Irene Wanjiku, Aurelia Muthoni, Lucy Waceke and Janet Wangu.

She is survived by two siblings Lucy Njeri and Timothy Ngari and was blessed with many grand and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi and at her home in Munyu, Kieni East, Nyeri County for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday July, 5th 2025 at her home in Munyu, Kieni East Sub county, Nyeri County starting at 10:30 am.
