It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of our beloved Patriarch Elder (Rtd) Charles Jasper Marangu Silas.

He was the son of the late Silas Mwirabua and the late Charity Nkinga of Kamenchu Village, Makuri Sub-location,Tharaka Nithi County.

He was loving husband of the late Neleah Kaimuri. Devoted father of Fred Kibaara, Lucy Gatakaa, Dorothy Kawira, Dan Kithinji, Jones Kaunda, Nicholas Mutua, Eric Munene, Enid Kageni and Jediel Muriuki.

Father-in-law of Ann Kibaara, the late Ntwiga, Simoneta Muthoni, Ann Kanini, Terry Makena, Fridah Kanana, the late Fredrick Mwenda, Susan Njoki.

Doting grandfather of Kelvin Mwenda, Fridah Mukami, Rose, Arnold, Angela, Mwende, Muthomi, Gakii, Kathoni, Eugene, Angela, Dennis, Vera, the late Shana Kanana, Murimi, Barbara, Myra Cindi, Te Mukami, Tejay, Shantel, Ray Murithi, Derrick, Ted Mutuma, Jayden Muthomi and Jayson Kariuki.

He was great grandfather of Stacy, Jaida, Melvin, Isaiah,Valerie, Saint, Muriuki, Mutuma, Ethan, Myles, Lianna.

Brother and brother-in-law of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kamenchu Village, Makuri Sub-location at 4.30 pm daily for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves PCEA Chogoria Hospital mortuary on 30th July 2025. The funeral service will take place at PCEA Makuri Church grounds. He will be interred at his home thereafter.

We will not say Goodbye, we give thanks for a life well lived with purpose and generosity.

It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce the untimely demise of Paul Kaigongi Mwito.

Son of the late George Mwito M’erimba and Agnes Akou Mwito,

Husband of Grace Mwamaitha, Father of Linus Kimathi, Abigael Makena Agnes and Anaya Paul.

Cherished brother to Jacob Mwito (BSN Man Kangeta), Mercy Mwito (Dr Thika), Kinoti Mwito(BSN Man Kangeta), Romano Mwito (MD MeRuWASCO), Kawira Mwito (BSN Lady Narok), Daniel Mwito (BSN Man Kangeta), Mathew Mwito (Njia junior Sec), Winfred Mwito (Guardian Health Care EM BU) and Ezekiel Mwito.

The committee, friends, and family are meeting daily at Mwito’s family Home in Kangeta, His home in Ruiru Eastern Bypass Kamakis next to Mutonya. Ack Church and on Tuesday there will be a meeting at Homeland inn Thika road.

The burial is scheduled for Friday, 1st August 2025. The cortege leaves cool breeze funeral home at 8:30 am for a burial service at Kangeta Catholic Church and later laying of wreaths and burial rites at home kangeta.

Paul, your life was a blessing to many, your memory a treasure. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

 

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Jose Wanjiru Kiambo after a short hospitalisation. Jose hailed from Kirichu Village, Nyeri County. She had retired of Kamugunda Village in Kirinyaga County.

She was the daughter of the late Paul Wambugu Kariamburi and the late Eliza Muthoni.

She was wife of the late Paul Kiambo. Loving mother of the late Wanjiku Kiambo and Muciri Kiambo.

She was also the sister of the late Grace Wanja Kimotho, the late Rose Nyarnathira Mbuki, Gerald K Wambugu and late Charles Maina Wambugu.

She was a beloved aunt of Eddy Mwangi and many others. She was also an adored cousin to many.

Jose was a UK trained midwife and worked most of her professional life at Coast General Hospital in Mombasa.

Viewing of the body shall take place on 30th July 2025 at 8.00am at Kibugi Funeral Home in Kutus town after which the funeral procession shall proceed to Kamugunda Village PCEA Emmanuel Church, Thumaita, Nyangeni Parish for the funeral service which shall start at 10.00am. Her earthly remains shall be interred  at her farm in Kamugunda Village after the church service.

 

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Gathoni Kibathi on 24th July 2025 after a short illness bravely borne.

Gathoni, the Marketing Director of Kambi Mstuni Resort & Conservancy was the loving daughter of Dr. Geoffrey Kibathi Mbugua Chancellor of Gretsa University Thika and Mrs. Susan Mumbi Kibathi Director of Sagret Hotel.

Gathoni was a doting mother of Myles Geoffrey Kibathi and the late Baby Susan Mwai.

She was a sister of Nyokabi Kibathi, Wambui Kanuri & Douglas Kanuri and Samuel Mbugua Kibathi.

She was a loving grand-daughter of the late Samuel Mbugua Kibathi & Margaret Nyokabi Mbugua and the late James Munene Muhindi & the late Shelmith Gathoni Munene.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at their Kiambu Home on Sunday 27th July 2025 at 3.00p.m.

The cortege will leave Nairobi Lee Funeral Home at 7.00am on Tuesday 29th July 2025 to her parents Kiambu home, where the Funeral service and interment will be held from 10.00 am.

It is with profound grief that we announce the death of Mr Joseph Mwaniki Mugweru which occurred on 21st July 2025 after a short illness.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mrs Edith Wanjira Mugweru and loving father of Mwai Mugweru, the late Jackson Maina, Daniel Murimi, Peter Mutugi, Andrew Kinyua, Anne Nyawira, Margaret Muthoni, George Miano, Loise Wambui, Nimrod Mwangi and Catherine Wairimu. He was the caring father-in-law of the late Naomi Murimi, Lucy Mutugi, Pauline Kinyua and Muthomi Njuki.

He was son of the late Mwaniki Mburati Kimbo and the late Margaret Kanini. He was brother of the late Kinyua, the late Jonah Gatambo, the late Murage. the late Loise Ndinwa, the late Priscilla Mbogo, the late Wamwirua and Zipporah Wanjutha

He was the proud grandfather of Wanjira Murimf, Wairimu Murimi, Tracy Kulubya, James Kulubya, Angela Mutugi, Wanjira Kinyua, Eric Kinyua, Chris Kinyua, Brian Muthomi, Linda Gitari, Brenda Muthomi, Bruce Muthomi and Bryce Muthomi. He was great grandfather of Megan Gitari, Maeve Gitari and Myles Gitari.

Family and friends are meeting at 4.30pm daily at the family home in Nioga, Kirinyaga County.

The cortege leaves ACK Mt Kenya Funeral Home Kerugoya on Thursday 31 July 2025 at 9.00am and the funeral service will take place from 11.00am at Kiaragana Primary School grounds, Kirinyaga County. Burial will be held thereafter at the family home in Njoga Village.

Dad lived a life full of purpose, passion, and grace especially through his love for family.

Our sincere thanks to our neighbours and friends from Donholm, Joska, Huruma, Leshau, Charina and the MD Sawela lodges Peter Kimani who stood by him and honoured his journey.

He was brother of Paul Kioko, Elijah Masika, the late Peter Nzuki, Priscila Nthenya, Daniel Muhia, Martin Ndonye, Joel lrungu, the late Regina Wambui, John Kenneth, Jonah Kimeu, the late Wilson Mutua, Ayub Mwangi, and Sammy Kaviti.

Son-in-law of the late John Thuo, Hannah Wairimu, and Margaret Wanjiru. Brother-in-law of Jesee Kamau,George Kiguru, Rose Wangari, Johnson Maina, John Ihuthia, Dominic Mugeche, Joseph Kinuthia, Samuel Karanja, Mary Waithira, Josephine Njoroge, Grace Ng’ang’a the late Phylis Wangari, the late Frank Thuo, Julius Gathungu and William Mbogo.

He was the father in law of Scolah Wanjiru and grandfather of Esther Wanjiku.

Friends and family are meeting at his Kamulu home every evening from 6:00 p.m.

The cortege will leave KU Referral n Tuesday 29/07/2025 for the burial in Kamulu at 10.00am.

Father in-law of the late Prof Henry Nyongesa, Zena and Lucrasia Ayienga, the late George Andiva, Sylvia Masiga and Ronald Mukalama.

Brother of the late Oiong’a, the late Nicolaus, the late Jackton, the late Joyce Osodo, the late Canon Eli Masiga, Grace Dindi, Dr Walter Masiga, Naomi Kaibe, the late Enock Masiga, Mwalimu Kephas Masiga and Patrick Ayienga.

Funeral service shall be in Buloma village, Nana Ward, Samia, Busia County followed by interment at his home in the same village, Buloma Village Location: Turnoff from Kisumu – Busia Road at Matayos, take Matayos Nakhasiko Road to Namboboto and then take Namboboto Buloma Village Road.
