She was the daughter of the late Jeremiah Murgor and Agnes Tabarno. Sister of Hellen Pondo, the late Meshack Murgor, the late Elizabeth Tenai, Mary Ogola, the late David Murgor, the late Simon Murgor, James Murgor, the late Paul Murgor, and Rose Murgor.

She was the wife of the late Sila Kibet Boit, mother of the late Joseph Kirwa, Samuel Kibiwott, Emmanuel Kiplagat, Jeremiah Kibet and Rodah Chebet. Mother in law of Roslyn Kirwa, Lilian Kibiwott and Susan Kiplagat.

Grandmother of Jesse, Oliver, Corretta, Winnie, Fiona, Ivan, Eugine, Ethel and Daisy and great grandmother of Ethan and Pondo.

Beloved aunty of the Pondos, Tenais, Ogolas and Murgors.

There will be a fundraising of offset funeral expenses on Wednesday, 13th August 2025, at All Saints Cathedral- Nairobi starting 5.00pm.

The cortege will depart from Racecourse Hospital on Friday 15th August 2025 at 10.00am for overnight vigil at her home.The burial will take place on 16th August 2025 at Kipsigak – Kariebu, Nandi County.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the family of Mweu announces the passing of their beloved Patriarch, Joshua Sina Kithoi Mweu, who was promoted to glory on Friday, August 1st, 2025, while receiving treatment at Ngara Medical Complex Hospital.

Joshua was the cherished son of the late Mbithi Mweu and the late Patricia Muundi.

He was a devoted husband of the late Phoebe Kasele and a loving father of the late Rhodaidah Muthina, Damaris Munyiva, Janet Nzila, Stephen Wambua, Phyllis Mwinza, Fidelis Kanini, James Mull, Dennis Mbithi and the late Catherine Mueni.

He was a respected father-in-law of Paschal Kyulle ((Rtd. Snr. Chief- Mtito Andei), Harrison Kasaku, Fredrick Kitumu, Winfred Wambua, Eng. Maundu, Felistus Mull and Annastacia Mbithi.

Joshua was a son-in-law of the late Joseph Kaungu and the late Esther Mwaiki.

Joshua was a brother of the late Nguni, late Kyoyo, late Kamae, late King’ata, late Mutinda, late Musembi and the late Loise Mwanthi. He was also a step-brother of the late Makuu, late Musyoka, and late Kaeke.

Brother-in-law of the late Jeremiah Kavuthu, Joseph Nzangi, late Mutuku, late Kalewa and the late Mutua.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom as a proud grandfather to many, including Benedict, the late Daniel, Jeniffer & John, Penninah, Michael & Cythia, Virginia & Daniel, Nzuve, Josiah & Naomi, Cleophas, Faith (Kasungu), Susan & Newton, Jacqueline & James, Betty, Enoch & Kathleen, Winnie, Nicole,  Kelvin, Prisca, Cephas, Dennis & Faith, Leslie, Harvey, Raiyan, Alicia, Innocent, Brilliant. Joshua was also a treasured uncle, cousin, and a friend to many.

He was a jovial co-parent-in-law to the late Paul Kyulle & late Pauline, late James Kasaku & late Naomi, late John Kakee & late Rhoda, late Daniel Ndolo & Jane, late Paul Maundu & Ruth, late Charles Maindi & Beth, and the late Maurice Kioko & the late Mukeli.

Prayer and burial preparation meetings are being held at Holy Family Basilica – Nairobi and his rural home in Kilala-Kibauni. Meetings at Holy Family Basilica will take place on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 and Wednesday, August 13th 2025 starting at 6:00 PM.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Mbagathi Road-Nairobi, on Thursday, August 14th 2023 at 1:00 PM, for a memorial service at his home.

The burial service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025, at his family home in Thwake Village, Kilala Sub-location, Ngomano Location, Ilwaia Sub-County, Machakos County, beginning at 09:00 AM.

We celebrate the life of Matriarch Mwalimu Margaret Murangi Mbogo, who was promoted to glory on Friday, 8th August 2025, after an illness bravely borne.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Mwalimu Isaiah Mbogo Muturi, and a devoted mother of John Muturi, Paul Nthiga, Elizabeth Mbogo, Catherine Maringa, Damaris Mwea, Faith Njogu (U.S.A), and Dr. Mark Mbogo (U.K).

Margaret was mother-in-law of Rose Wandege, Mary Wanja, James Kinuthia, the late John Maringa, Kathuri Mwea and Wilson Njogu (U.S.A.). She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home, Embu on Friday 15th August 2025, at 8.00 am to ACK Emmanuel Church, Kigari, for a church service starting at 10:00 am, thereafter burial at her Gichugu/Kiangoci farm – Ngandori Location, Embu County.
