It is with great sorrow, sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) Board of Directors, Management and Staff announces the untimely demise of Alice Akinyi Rawago, which occurred on 29th July 2025. The late before her death, was working at Kenya Forestry Research Institute Headquarters Muguga.

She was a daughter of late Ainea Rawago and Naomi Aluoch.

Wife of the late Alfred Oduor.

Sister of Regina Sihundu, Tabitha Olale, Beryl Ochanda, John Onyango, Zadok Okoth,the late Moses Otieno, the late Dickson Akumu, David Odhiambo, Onyango.

Mother of Lilian Adhiambo,Victor Odhiambo, Ronnie Baron, Vincent Otieno and Naomi Akoth.

Her grandchildren include Marcus, Jaylah, Malcom, Britney, Karembo, Humphrey, Eddy, and Carla.

The cortege will leave Nairobi on 15th August 2025 at 6.00am for mass at St Emmanuel ACK Church Bondo Parish on 16th August 2025 will be laid to rest at her residential family home in Bondo.

He was the youngest son of the late Mzee Adonijah Ngorere arid the late Truphosa Tabwa.

He was a devoted husband of his beloved wife, Merab Atola Ominde, and a loving father of George Oliya, Brenda Narah, Dr. Sheila Tabwa, Norine Angulu, Eng. Pamella Amambia, Dr. Beryl Shitandi, Sharon Migalitza, Eng. Merlyne lndeche, Doris Andayi (wakili) and James Ngorere.

Mzee Ellis was a brother of the late Herbert Ouko, the late Bakhoya Ominde, Zaddock Ambutsi, Gideon Akwabi, the late Atsengo, the late Esire, and Christabel lndeche.

He was a cherished father-in-law of Laura Luvembe, Kaivon Paroo, Dr Mike Mulongo, Eng. Kevin Odhiambo, Tem Minishi, and Japheth Makhokha.

A doting grandfather of Kayla, Deysha, Ayanna, Aurnatage, the late baby Ellis, Sheran, Mideva, Liora, Ineza, the lace baby Polarien, Adelya, and Lankanar. The late Ellis Ominde was a beloved brother, friend, uncle, and mentor to many.

Funeral arrangement meetings are being held daily at his residence in Kanduyi, Bungoma, from 3:00 p.m.

He will be laid to rest at his home in Kanduyi, Bungoma, on Friday,August IS, 2025.

Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late Peter Gikonyo Kambo and the late Esther Wambui Gikonyo of Marmanet, Nyahururu. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Paul Kiminda Thuita and Elizabeth Muthoni Kiminda of Wanyororo, Nakuru County.

She was a doting mother of Maureen Muthoni Gachiri, Kennedy Kiminda Gachiri and George Gikonyo Gachiri. She was the grandmother of Maxwell James Gachiri Kiminda.

She was a sister of Vincent Kambo, the late Immaculate Njeri, Pius Ndirangu, Annie Wairuri, Gikonyo Mwangi, Francis Ndungu and Cecilia Wanjiku. She was a sister in-law, a cousin, an aunt and a friend to many.

It is with profound grief that we announce the demise of Catherine Wanpiru Gikuhi which occurred on 4th August 2025 after an illness bravely borne.

She was the beloved daughter of late Peter Gikuhi Ndegwa and Mary Nyambura Gikuhi and loving mother of Mary Ann Nyambura of Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School.

She was a sister of George Ndegwa and Sophia Ndegwa, Patrick Ngunjiri and late Catherine Nyambura, John Mwangi and Micheal Waruhiu. She was a doting aunt and cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Murang’a Teachers College, and family home in Mbogoini, St Andrews Church Nairobi on Thursday 7th August and Friday 8th August 2025.

There will be a requiem mass at Don Bosco Catholic Church Makuyu on Monday 11th at 4.00pm.
