A Life Remembered, A Legacy Honored

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, Mr. Paul Gitau Wamae of Chania Bookshop, which occurred on 1st August 2025. He hailed from Githurnu sub location Ruchu location, Kandara, Murang’a County.

He was the second-born child of the late Mr. Willy Paul Wamae and the late Mrs. Monica Wamae.

He was a devoted father of Jackline Wambui, Eugene Wamae, Levy Wamae, and Lebron Njenga.

Paul was a beloved brother of Catherine Wanjiru, Caroline Wangari, jackline Njeri, and Edwin Mwangi.

Daily funeral planning meetings will be held from 4th to 7th August 2025 at Blue Springs Hotel, along Thika Superhighway, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm each evening.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral , Home – Kabati, on Friday, 08″ August 2025 at 7:00 am. The funeral service will be held at Ruchu Boys High School, Muranga County and the burial at Gichakayo Village in Githumu.

A cherished son of the late John Frank Mbotela (Tike) and Margaret Mbotela. Brother of Elizabeth Komora, Matilda Mpora, the late Torn Mbotela, Joan Mbotela-Sinari and Peter Mbotela. Cousin, uncle and friend to many.

A fundraiser to offset the pending medical bills will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, on 8th August 2025 at 5.00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at All Saints Cathedral on 15th August 2025 at 2.00 p.m.

The cortege will leave Coptic Hospital on 16th August 2025 at 9.00a.m for burial ceremony at Langata cemetery.

Death has occurred of Mary Pacifica Okwany of Bondo NyirongeVillage, Migori County.

She was the daughter of the late Japuonj John Joseph Okwany and the late Mama Gaudensia Aredo. Sister of Eng. Peter Okwany, the late Rose Makokwal, Wilfrida Amenya,-the late Teresa Orinde, the late Dr. Vincent Okwany, Florence Makoilwal and Lady Justice Frida Osodo.

Mary was married to the late Mwalimu Nicholas Nyangute Owuor. She was mother of Eng. Emelda, Mwalimu Dan, Judith Monda, David Omondi (KPLC) and the late Willis Odhiambo.

Mother-in-law of the late John Nyaduwa, the late Mercy Achiene, Pastor Samon Monda, Caroline Adhiambo and Natasha Nasiekhu.

Grandmother of Michael Nyaduwa KPLC, Dr. Chris Omondi and Victorine Atieno Burhani Electricals among others.

Burial will take place on the 8th August 2025 at her home in Bondo Nyironge starting at 9:00am.

Son in-law of the late Ngamau and Wairimu Ngamau. Brother of the late Kihara Muna and late Jane Muna.

Grandfather of Wendy, Stacy, Mark, Ashley, Rahim, Safiya, Magdalene, Francis, Mark, Joe, Edwin, EllyAnne,Terrence, Lemuel, Atarrah among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Bahati Sub-County, Bahati Scheme (Nakuru) for prayers and funeral arrangements starting at 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave PNN Funeral Home — Nakuru on Friday, 8th August, 2025 at 8.00am, followed by a funeral service and interment at his home in Bahati Sub-County, Bahati Scheme, Nakuru County starting at 10.00am.

Born: 3/05/1961 – Died: 30/07/2025

With deep sorrow, the Catholic Diocese of Kitui announces the death of Rev. Fr Robert Tito Kalima, who passed on at Mater Hospital on 30/7/2025 while receiving treatment.

He was born in Mutomo Parish, the third-born son of the late James Kisovi and the late Alice Mukii. He was a brother of the late Charles Kalima, Rodgers Mutwii, the late Mwende Muthoka, Domitila Katungulu Peter, Mbuve Muthoka, and Josphat Mutie.

He was ordained a priest on 11/5/1991. Until his demise, he was serving as the Parish Priest of St. Jude Mbitini Parish.

The cortege will leave Tribute Funeral Home—Syongila on 7/8/2025 for a requiem Mass at Our Lady of Africa Cathedral, Kitui, at 4:00 PM. Vigil Masses will follow at 8:00 PM, 11:00 PM, and 5:00AM.

The Funeral Mass will be held on 8/8/2025 at St. Patrick’s Parish, Mutune at 10.00am, followed by the burial rites and interment at Mutune Diocesan Cemetery.

Beloved son of Dorothy Wanjiku Kinyanjui and the late Sospeter Kiminja Mutisya of Kijabe Mission. Brother of Nathan, Samuel and Kush all in (USA), the late James Mbuguah, Sarah (Supa Duka) and Monicah.

Loving father of Melody Wanjiku, Joana Wanjiku, Sospeter and Angel.

Doting uncle of Ruth Debbie, John Muriu,Victor Kimani, Sospeter, Shawn, Israel, Chiku and Gift Sam, Esther and Abigail.

Grandpa of Myles and Mali Muriu.

The body is lying at AIC Kijabe Hospital Mortuary.

Daily prayers and funeral arrangements are held at his mother’s home (Kijabe Mission) at 5:00 pm.

Burial will take place on Friday, 8th August 2025 at Maingi cemetery.

Linda was the niece of Prof. LA Odero Ogwel, Salome Odiawo, Yucabeth Ouko, Dan Ojijo Penina Omondi, Grace Odhiambo, Emma Odhiambo, Rhoda Bungei Odhiambo, Miriam Nyabwa, Catherine Otieno, Jenipher Ojijo and the late: Japheth Odhiambo, Susana Aluoch, Gershon Nyabwa and Mark Otieno. She was also the niece of Mary Dieto, Grace Okello, Herine Ogembo, Beldine Owuor, Charles Orwe, Jane Owilli, Olivia Ranguma, Geoffrey Orwe, Dorothy Ombajo-Orwe, Risper Orwe, the late Moses Ogungo Orwe, Samson Owuor, HE Jack Ranguma, Fred Ayiera, Evans Ayiera and Dina Ayiera.

Wistfully, on July 30, 2025, Mzee Jinaani Nzioki Mbiuva, former long-serving Hansard reporter and editor at Parliament of Kenya (1983-2015), completed his magnificent and impactful journey in this world. He of Nziu Location, Makueni Sub County, Makueni County, whose family also partly settled in Dzombo Ward, Lunga Lunga Sub-County in Kwale County.

Son of the late Mbiuva Nzioki and Milkah Muthembwa Mbiuva.

Loving husband of Agnes Mbithe Nzioki, and dedicated father of Harriet Ndindi (RDN), Matilda Ndanu Kamau (Media), Belinda Ndoti (Advocate), Kiambi Nzioki and Nelson Kimweli. Father-in-law of Kenneth Kamau (DJ Kamjo), and grandfather of Arthur Mwangi Ngige and Njogu Kamau (NK).

Brother of Agnes Kalewa, Peninah Mueni, the late Kalondu Mbiuva, Phyllis Nditiva, the late Ndumi Mbiuva, Damaris Ndunge, Ricky Kyalo and the late Mumbua Mbiuva.

The cortege will leave Nairobi West Hospital Mortuary on Saturday August 9, 2025 at 7.00am. The burial ceremony will be held at Malooi Primary School in Nziu Location, Makueni Sub County, Makueni County, followed by interment at his home,Tumwalani Farm.

Samuel Watuka Muindi was the devoted husband of Jane Ndinda and a loving father of Amy Mwende Muthurania, Karen Muthike Essien, Mercy Mumbe Felty and Victoria Nduku Green. Father-in-law of Kevin Muthurania, Kobby Essien, Kyle Felty and Wade Green He was the proud grandfather of Michael & Mark Muthurania, Olivia & Isla Felty, Zarah & Lucius Green.

He was the son of the late Samson Muindi Mutisya and the late Mary Murnbe Son-in-law of the late Muia Kawisya, the late Muthike Muia and Mwikali Muia.

A brother of Alice Ndutuu, Susan Mukulu, Rebecca Mueni, Kenneth Maundu, the late Priscilla Munini, Dr Daniel Mulwa Muindi, Rev. Matthew Mutuku, John Muindi & Nellius Mutanu.

Brother-in-law of the late Joseph Musyoka, Rev.
