Mr. Salim Ali Molla

With humble acceptance of the will of God, we announce the passing on of Mr Salim Ali Molla, formerly of the Office of the President (Provincial Administration), which occurred on 9th August. 2025 after a long illness bravely borne.

He was the son of the late All Abdi Molla and the late Zena Suleiman Ali. He was a devoted and loving father of Zena Medama, Ali Kithuva, Yusuf Wainaina, Naila, and Haji Salim. He was a father-in-law of Dan Mwangi Gathogo, Winnie Wanjiru, and Zarah Abikar. He was a doting grandfather of Tony, Andrew, Ivan, and Luka Mwangi, and Asher Kithuva.

Salim was a loving brother of the late Khadija, the late Fatuma Ali Yusuf, Suleiman, Athman, Ahmed, Haji, Kibibi, the late Rashid Ali, Rukia, and Arafa Ali.

He was a cherished uncle of Esha, Sauma, Zena, Tito Abdalla, and Ali Pituru.

He was a dear colleague and friend of many and will be fondly remembered for his warmth, amiable personality, wit, generosity, and wisdom, as well as his ability to make friends easily across all ages and social backgrounds.

Prayers were held on 10th August 2025 at the Ryadha Mosque in Majengo. He was later interred at the Kariokor Muslim Cemetry in Nairobi.

To honor Salim’s life, the family will be holding daily prayers at his Kahawa Sukari residence, off Garissa Road, 3 South Avenue.

Salim has been ailing for the last five years and was receiving treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital — Nairobi, where he incurred high medical bills. Beloved daughter of the late Leo Kihura and the late Virginia Wanjiku of Ngemwa Village, Kiambu County.

The beloved wife of Kenn Karori Njoroge and the loving mother of Catherine Bosire, Caroline Wanjiku (USA), Martin Njoroge and the late Anthony Kihura. Mother-in-love of Maxwell Bosire and Nancy Chebet. Grandmother of Brian Bosire, Serina Bosire, Jason Njoroge, Nathan Njoroge, Kayla Njoroge and many others.

She was a loving sister of the late Margaret Mwihaki, MaryAnn Kibunjajohn Ng’ang’a, Bernard Kairu (Berkai Engineering), Lucy Kimani and step-sister of the late Barnabas Ng’ang’a, the late Pauline Wairimu, the late Francis Gachie, the late Maryanne lkonya, the late Josephat Kamiri, the late Veronica Mbaire, the late Mary Nderi, the late Martin Muhinja, Bernard Mwaura and Peter Ngugi.

Sister-in-love of Jane Muthee, Irene Gathoni,Victoria VVarnbui, the late Perminas Iregi, Maryanne Mbugua, David Kariuki, Mercy Macharia, the late George Nganga, the late Robert Kamau, Grace Maina,Bernard Waithuki, Winnie Kairu, Hannah Ng’ang’a and Daniel Kimani and many others. The cortege will leave Kenyatta Referral Funeral Home on Friday 15th August., 2025, at 6:30 am. The funeral service will be at Good Earth Farm in Kariamu, Olkalau, Nyandarua County at. 10:00 am where she will be laid to rest.

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of Gods will, that we announce the untimely demise of Kenneth Patrick Minae Kinyua on 4th August 2025 at Coptic Hospital.

Ken was the beloved son of Lois Warau Kinyua and the late Geoffrey Kanu Kinyua of Gikoe Village, Mathioya, Murang’a County and Kinwara Farm in Lusoi Location, Kieni East, Nyeri County. He was son-in-law of Margaret Wanjiru and the late James Njuguna Gikonyo of Tigoni.

K en was the beloved husband of Alice Nyakinyua and a loving father of Brian Kanu, Beverely Warau, and Bradley Njuguna.

He was a cherished brother of James “Panther” and Joy Gacheri Kinyua,Anne and Philip Gitau,Angela Kinyua, and Jeanne Wangechi and Bob Macharia,

Ken was an adored uncle of Vanessa Warau, Eric Kanu and Natalie Wanjiru Kinyua, Laura Waithera Gitau and Nathan Ndau Macharia, Watiri, Ciru, Fiona, Nduati, Joe, Macharia, Njuguna, James, Christine,Tanya, Cerere, Joyce, Ciru, Njeri, Karuri,Jimmy and many others.

He was a brother-in-law of Cerere and Grace, Gikonyo and Catherine, Mary and Mwangi, Mwaura and Faith, Kinyanjui and Margaret, Kogi and Annabel!, Michael Wanjau, Edward “Gogi” and Kezziah Mukora and John Wanjau.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting at the family home in Runda Mumwe at 4.00 pm from Wednesday to Friday.

A memorial service will be held at Ridgeways Baptist Church on Sunday 10th August 2025 at 3.00 pm.

The funeral and interment will be held on Tuesday 12th August 2025 from 10.00am at Kinwara Farm, Lusoi sub-location, Kieni East, Nyeri County,

Teresa Njoki Gachiri

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Teresa Njoki Gachiri, wife of Major Doctor J.R Gachiri, on 5th August 2025 after a short illness.

Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late Peter Gikonyo Kambo and the late Esther Wambui Gikonyo of Marmanet, Nyahururu. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Paul Kiminda Thuita and Elizabeth Muthoni Kiminda of Wanyororo, Nakuru County.

She was a doting mother of Maureen Muthoni Gachiri, Kennedy Kiminda Gachiri and George Gikonyo Gachiri. She was the grandmother of Maxwell James Gachiri Kiminda.

She was a sister of Vincent Kambo, the late Immaculate Nieri, Pius Ndirangu, Annie Wairuri, Gikonyo Mwangi, Francis Ndungu and Cecilia Wanjiku. She was a sister-in-law, a cousin, an aunt and a friend to many.

There will be a Requiem Mass on Wednesday 13th August 2025 at St. Austin’s Catholic Church, Msongari at 10.00 am.

The Funeral Mass will be on Friday 15th August 2025 from 1100 hrs at the family home in Kinangop. Friends and Family will leave Lee Funeral Home at 0600 hrs.

There will be meetings for funeral arrangements on Monday 1 1th August and Wednesday 13th August 2025 at Consolata Shrine Allamano Center from 1600 hrs.

Joyce Karwitha Ndethiu

(28th January, 1945 – 2nd August, 2025)

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Joyce Karwitha Ndethiu on 2nd August 20Th while receiving ICU care at the Life Care Hospital in Meru, having previously been undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi for the last eleven months.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth and Solomon Ndethiu. She was the third born sister of the late Isaiah and Mary Murunga, the late Samuel and Harriet Mutua, Eunice and Justus Manyara, Julius and Mary Ndethiu, Joel and Celina Gitonga, the late Morris Munene, Ceciiia Gitonga, the late Joshua Mutethia and Salome Mutethia.

Devoted mother of the late Beatrice Karambti, Linda Kathambi, Frank Mwirigi, Brian Kimathi and Allan Mwiti, and mother-in-law of Ken Mugo and Angie Muthoni.

She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Jabu, Baraka and Wema. She was a treasured aunt, cousin and friend to many.

A memorial service was held on 7th August, 2025 at the MCK Charles New Church, Nairobi.

Funeral arrangements are being held daily at her Meru home in Mwithumwiru, Kaaga – behind Westwind Hotel.

The funeral procession will leave Cool Breeze Funeral Home, Kiirua for MCK St. Paul s Church at 9.30am. Church service will begin at 11.00 a.m. arid thereafter proceed for interment at her residence on Tuesday 12th August 2025.

Alice was a beloved daughter of Esther Muthoni and the late Richard Kairu: and daughter in-love of Charles Wambicho and Veronica Wanjiku.

Alice was the devoted wife of Martin Kariuki and a loving mother of Maureen, Cedric and Esther.

Alice was a dear sister of Anne, Felista, Charity, Purity, Rosaline, Anthony and Eric; and a sister-in-law of Ben, Simon, Alice, Anne, Mary, Agnes, and Enirua

She was a cherished aunt of Lin, Kevin, Mercy, Vincent, Wendy, Sonata., Taniqua.Tyrique, Neil, Maleigh, Hadassah, lan,Wendy, Ryan, Eddie, Edna. Andy, Sean, lira, Patricia, Perpetual, Jayden, Tiffany, Mitchell, Ethan, Diana, Rita, lvana and Clare .

Family and friends are gathering daily for prayers and funeral preparations from 4.30 pm. at the family home in Thika, Phase 10 (Delta Zone Estate, House No. 8).

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati on Tuesday, 12th August 2025 at 7:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at Kaguthi Catholic Church, beginning at 10.00 am, after which she will be laid to rest at the family farm in Kaguthi Village, Kandara.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
