Son of the late M’Guantai M’lburi and the late Elizabeth M’Guantai of lthimbari Village, Upper Chure Sub-Location, Chure Location, Igoki Division, Abogeta Sub-County, Meru County.

Beloved husband of Rebecca Tirindi. Father of Lucy Gatwiri Murithi, Jackson Mutai, Felicity Kathambi Bundi, late Monica Kiende Kaimenyi, Brendah Makena, Dorcas Nthiira Mutuma, the late Kate Mwendwa and Pauline Ndumba.

Father in-law of Linus Murithi, Ann Mutai, Bundi M’Miriti, Charles Kaimenyi and Job Mutuma M’Raaria.

Brother of the late Eustace Muriungi, Josphat Gichuru, Bridget Karimi, Julia Karegi, Doris Mugure, the late Kellen Karuru, the late Erastus Mbobua, the late Albert Mwiti, Joyce Nyegera, the late Mercy Nkirote, Lucy Kaburu, Bessy Kanini, Joshua Mutwiri and Jane Ntibuka.

Son in-law of the late Japhet Meme and the late Janet Meme. He has left behind 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his home Guiti Village for prayers and burial preparation.

The cortege leaves Consolata Hospital Nkubu on Tuesday 12th August 2025 at 9.00 am thereafter prayers and burial ceremony will be held at his home Guiti Sub-Location, Kiamutuja Village. Meru County.

Matthew 25:21 ‘Well done, you good and faithful servant!’ said his master. `You have been faithful in managing small amounts, so I will put you in charge of large amounts Come on in and share my happiness!’

His story may be ending but his Legacy will forever be told.

Titus Ngala Mbaga

Sunrise: 6th January 1985 – Sunset: 25th July 2025

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely passing of Titus Ngala Mbaga, who went to be with the Lord on 25th July 2025 through a tragic road accident.

He was the beloved 3rd born son of Edmund Mbaga Lewa and Rosalia Nzingo Ngala.

A devoted husband of Ms. Terry Mwangome and a loving father of Tamama and Talia Ngala.

Titus was a cherished brother of Fredrick Lewa, Phoebe Mnyazi, Lucy Magombe, Gilly Mwagambo.Vicky Mwaboza.

He began his education journey at St. Martins Primary School before proceeding to Ribe Boys High School. He later pursued higher learning at Rift Valley Technical Institute and Mt. Kenya University. Professionally, Titus joined public service on 26th October, 2020 as a Pensions Assistant  III, where he served with diligence and distinction until his untimely passing. He was  yet to graduate with his Bachelors this year, a true testament to his dedication and pursuit of excellence.

Titus will be remembered for his humility, warmth, and unwavering commitment to both family and service. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will remain deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday 9th August, 2025 at Gandini Village, Mwarakaya Subdivision, Chonyi Division, Kilifi South Sub-County, Kilifi County.

It is deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Antony Dick Owi who died on the :14th July 2025 after a short illness.

He was beloved son of Jabet Zakavo Owi and mama Grace Atieno Owi.

Husband of Christabel Okoth and a loving father of Serena, Sylvia and Jabez Owil.

Son in law of the late John Okoth and mama Dorcas Okoth.

Brother of Lenza Nyabw-a. Felicia. Mary. Caroline, and Dorothy.

Brother-in-law of Roger, Michael, Cyprine, Meresa, the late Dolline, Joel and Nerry.

Grandson of the late Abisalorn Oil, the late mama Rosalia Owi and mama Sophia Owi.

A cherished uncle of Andrew, Ashley, Chelsea, Kimberly, Michael, Tyler, Robert, Kyle, Gracia, Ivy, David, Edith, Marlin and Keith. Cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting for daily prayers and funeral arrangements at their family home in Kokuro village, Awendo Division,  Migori County.

The cortege will depart from Migori County Referral Hospital on Thursday 14th August 2025 at 11:00am for his final journey. The burial will take place on Friday 15th August 2025 at his above home.

It is with great sorrow, sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) Board of Directors, Management and Staff announces the untimely demise of Alice Akinyi Rawago, which occurred on 29th July 2025. The late before her death, was working at Kenya Forestry Research Institute Headquarters Muguga.

She was a daughter of late Ainea Rawago and Naomi Aluoch.

Wife of the late Alfred Oduor.

Sister of Regina Sihundu, Tabitha Olale, Beryl Ochanda, John Onyango, Zadok Okoth,the late Moses Otieno, the late Dickson Akumu, David Odhiambo, Onyango.

Mother of Lilian Adhiambo,Victor Odhiambo, Ronnie Baron, Vincent Otieno and Naomi Akoth.

Her grandchildren include Marcus, Jaylah, Malcom, Britney, Karembo, Humphrey, Eddy, and Carla.

The cortege will leave Nairobi on 15th August 2025 at 6.00am for mass at St Emmanuel ACK Church Bondo Parish on 16th August 2025 will be laid to rest at her residential family home in Bondo.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Madam Jane Masibayi Musundi that occurred on Monday, 28th July 2025 after a short illness. She was formerly an employee of the Ministry of Co-operatives and MSME Development.

Daughter of the late George Gregory Musundi Kuchio and the late Consolata Ngira. Daughter-in-law of the late Peter Odera Ogola and Philpine Odeny Orembe.

She was wife of the late Maurice Ogola Odera.

Mother of Dancan Odongo Ogola and Linda Aketch Ogola. Sister of the late Wycliff Wanguhu, Benson Mbugua, late Mesh Wanguhu, Lily Kabura, Gibson Gichuru, Margaret Wangechi, Alex Manyara, Charlene Wamaitha, Wanguhu Kamau, Kimani Kamau and Manyara Kamau.

She was the beloved wife of Titus Mukunda Kanyi. Mother of Michael Nyaga, James Kairu, Penny Maina, Jean Martha Njoki, Carol Muturi, Susan Mburu and Paniel Kanyi all of USA.

In-law of Paul Kanjau, Joseph Mburu, and Carol Kanyi. Grandmother of Myles Rutto, Elaina Rutto,Alyssa Maina, Janelle Muturi, Serah Muturi, Bethany Muturi, Nathan Mburu, Njeri Mburu, Caelynn Kanyi, and Eli Mukunda.

Sister of the late Magdalene Wamuyu, Joyce Wangui, Stephen Kariuki, Purity Wanjiru Mahugu, Rufus Ndegwa,Agnes Muthoni Mbogo, and the late Jackson Muriu.

Burial date and service will be on 12th August 2025 at the ACK Church Kanyenyaini Murang’a and later proceed to the burial site at Kanyenyaini village.

 

Mzee Ellis H. Ominde

With profound sorrow, heavy hearts, and abiding faith in God, Marell Schools announce the passing of the founding Director Mzee Ellis H. Ominde on Monday, August 4, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illness.

He was the youngest son of the late Mzee Adonijah Ngorere arid the late Truphosa Tabwa.

He was a devoted husband of his beloved wife, Merab Atola Ominde, and a loving father of George Oliya, Brenda Narah, Dr. Sheila Tabwa, Norine Angulu, Eng. Pamella Amambia, Dr. Beryl Shitandi, Sharon Migalitza, Eng. Merlyne lndeche, Doris Andayi (wakili) and James Ngorere.

Mzee Ellis was a brother of the late Herbert Ouko, the late Bakhoya Ominde, Zaddock Ambutsi, Gideon Akwabi, the late Atsengo, the late Esire, and Christabel lndeche.

He was a cherished father-in-law of Laura Luvembe, Kaivon Paroo, Dr Mike Mulongo, Eng. Kevin Odhiambo, Tem Minishi, and Japheth Makhokha.

A doting grandfather of Kayla, Deysha, Ayanna, Aurnatage, the late baby Ellis, Sheran, Mideva, Liora, Ineza, the lace baby Polarien, Adelya, and Lankanar. The late Ellis Ominde was a beloved brother, friend, uncle, and mentor to many.

Funeral arrangement meetings are being held daily at his residence in Kanduyi, Bungoma, from 3:00 p.m.

He will be laid to rest at his home in Kanduyi, Bungoma, on Friday,August IS, 2025.

Teresa Njoki Gachiri

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Teresa Njoki Gachiri, wife of Major Doctor J.R Gachiri, on 5th August 2025 after a short illness.

Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late Peter Gikonyo Kambo and the late Esther Wambui Gikonyo of Marmanet, Nyahururu. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Paul Kiminda Thuita and Elizabeth Muthoni Kiminda of Wanyororo, Nakuru County.

She was a doting mother of Maureen Muthoni Gachiri, Kennedy Kiminda Gachiri and George Gikonyo Gachiri. She was the grandmother of Maxwell James Gachiri Kiminda.

She was a sister of Vincent Kambo, the late Immaculate Njeri, Pius Ndirangu, Annie Wairuri, Gikonyo Mwangi, Francis Ndungu and Cecilia Wanjiku. She was a sister in-law, a cousin, an aunt and a friend to many.

Further information regarding the funeral arrangement and burial will be communicated at a later date.

There will be meetings for funeral arrangements on Monday 11th August 2025 and Wednesday 13th August 2025 at Consolata Shrine, Allamano Center.
