It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jane Wamaitha Thang’wa, branch manager TMD K. Limited Kitui branch following a prolonged illness.

Daughter of the late Dominic Miringu Thang’wa and Teresia Waithira.

Jane was wife of the late Frederick Githua and cherished mother of Dominic Kamau and Teresia Njeri and grandmother of Waridi Wamaitha.

Jane was a dear sister of Maryann Waruga, Margaret Kinga, Lilian Wangui and Joseph Thang’wa.

She was a sister-in-law of Anthony Njogu, Oliver Mwongera and Lynette Mkiwa.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home (Thika road) on Friday 8th August 2025 at 8.00am for funeral service to: St. Dominic’s Catholic Church (Free water) along Pia farm road at 11.00am and burial at the family home in juja farm thereafter.

Stephen Kithuka Mwania

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our cherished employee, Mr. Stephen Kithuka Mwania, who was called to eternal rest on 30th July 2025.

Mr. Kithuka (Reverend) was a dedicated, committed and hard-working employee of Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited (Kenya Re). Stephen diligently served the Corporation with distinction, amplifying his excellence and integrity for over 34 years. He was among the most respected and experienced life reassurance underwriters in Kenya.

Reverend Kithuka Mwania was a devoted husband of Josephine Mwania and a loving father of Dennis Mwania and Emmanuel Mwania.

He was a committed and faithful servant of God as the Reverend of Redeemed Gospel Church, Umoja 3.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 6th August 202S, at Redeemed Gospel Church, Umoja 3, Nairobi, from 2:00 p.m.

The burial ceremony will follow on Friday, 8th August 2025, in Makueni County, Mbooni East, Kiteta Kisati Ward, Ngaa Village.

Engineer Samuel Ngatia Kabari

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Engineer Samuel Ngatia Kabari of Beta Engineering Company Limited, Nairobi.

He was the beloved husband of Veronica Kabari (Shall) School), and a loving father of Caroline, Angela,Tina, Betty, and Stephen Kabari. Father-in-law of Patrick Ouma. A doting grandfather of Leo, Liam, and Lily Ouma, among others.

Son of the late Mzee Stephen Ngatia and the laze Pauline Wangeci. He is survived by his siblings: Peter M Ngatia, Nancy W. Maina, Jane Gathigia Ole Mapei, John Kanyoro, Lucy W. Ichail, Margaret W. Mwangi, Charles Kamau and Anthony Wanjohi.

Brother-in-law of Maina, the late James Maina, the late Kintzilel Ole Mapei, Beatrice Kanyoro, Peter ichau, Charles Mwangi, Wambui Kamau, Wambui Waiijohi, Priscilla Karok0, Bishop Bob Kabugi, the late Anthony Neru, Agnes Ndungu, Agatha Wairimu, the late Francisca Gathoni, Augusta Wangui, and Annachieta Wambui.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday, 12th August 2025 at 7:00 a.m., for a funeral Mass at St Austin’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment Lang’ata Cemetery, Nairobi.

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Aaron Mutunga Musyimi, formerly of the Kenya Pipeline Corporation, on 28th July 2025 while undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

Aaron was the beloved son of the late Joel Musyimi and Lillian Nduku Musyimi of Mutitu Village, Kathiani Sub-county, Machakos County. He was a devoted brother of Tony Muia Musyimi, a loving husband of Ndungwa Mbithe, a caring father of Virginia Mutile, and a doting grandfather of Jamin Mutunga.

He was a treasured nephew of the late Mull Musyimi and Teresia; the late Timothy Musyimi and Monicah; the late Bob Paul Musyimi and Anna Paul; Jones Kiamba; the late Veronicah Kitonga; Regina Musyimi; Ruth Musyimi; Mary Kimeu; the late Ruth Munguti; the late James Mutua Kasyoki and Grace Mutua; the late Sammy Kasyoki; Margret Kasyoki; Mr. & Mrs. Peter Mumo; Mr. & Mrs. David Kasyoki; the late Michael Ngilu and Hon. Son-in-law of late Ongera Siro and late Patriciah Kemunto. He was the brother-in-law of late Mose, Pacificah, Ong’ondi.

He was Korera of Lawrence Gichana, Jane Monyangi, Joseph Mokaya, Teresa Mokaya, Aristarico Omariba and Eunice Kwamboka.

He was the father-in-law of Nehemiah Mokaya, Nelson Omariba, Zipproah Gichana and Cynthia Kerubo.

Evanson Muriithi Mukira

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing on of Evanson Muriithi Mukira on 31st July, 2025 in California U.S.A.

Muriithi was the son of the late ex-senior Chief Moses Mukira Gachugi, Keziah Njeri Mukira and the late Florence Mugure Mukira of Kagongo Village, Chinga Ward, Othaya, Nyeri County.

He was husband of Joyce Muriithi. He was devoted father of Zion Mukira, Chase Muriithi and Zivah Njeri.

He was son-in-law of the late Muriithi Gichora and Nazalin Muriithi.

Evanson was Brother of the late Gladys Ngunjiri and Nelson Ngunjiri, Arthur and Gladys Gachugi (USA), Timothy and Mercy Muito, Duncan Kingori Snr, Arthur C. Mukira (formerly of Crown Paints) and Rachael Gachugi, Beatrice W. Mukira, Loise H. Professor Emeritus Peter Owoko K’Obonyo

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Professor Emeritus Peter Owoko K’Obonyo on 21st July 2025 at Avenue Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Margaret K’Obonyo and loving father of Onyx Wagumba K’Obonyo, Neema Pescilorne Precious K’Obonyo, Glory Abbie K’Obonyo and Emma Noelle K’Obonyo.

His parents were the late Gabriel Obonyo and the late Paskalia Muga of Ugenya Masiro Masinde, Siaya County. Son in-law of the late Mzee Abner Sila Odera and Mama Lorna Awuor Odera of Uriri Village Kanyamkago location in Migori County.

He was a brother of the late Gaudencia Siero, the late Dr. Nyothach, the late Anastacia Anyango, the late Angelina Akelo, the late Anastacia Aluoch and Josephine Mboss.

Uncle of the Akechs, the Nyothachs, the Ofwares, the Odipos, the Omondis, the K’Opiyos, the Mboss’, the Oduor-Oderas, the Mwayas, the Richard-Oderas, the Owiyos.

The memorial service will be held at Citam Valley Road on Wednesday 6th August at 10.00am.

On Friday 8th August, 2025 the cortege will proceed to his home Kakrao, County and will be laid to rest on Saturday 9th August.

A Life Remembered, A Legacy Honored

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, Mr. Paul Gitau Wamae of Chania Bookshop, which occurred on 1st August 2025. He hailed from Githurnu sub location Ruchu location, Kandara, Murang’a County.

He was the second-born child of the late Mr. Willy Paul Wamae and the late Mrs. Monica Wamae.

He was a devoted father of Jackline Wambui, Eugene Wamae, Levy Wamae, and Lebron Njenga.

Paul was a beloved brother of Catherine Wanjiru, Caroline Wangari, jackline Njeri, and Edwin Mwangi.

Daily funeral planning meetings will be held from 4th to 7th August 2025 at Blue Springs Hotel, along Thika Superhighway, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm each evening.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral , Home – Kabati, on Friday, 08″ August 2025 at 7:00 am. The funeral service will be held at Ruchu Boys High School, Muranga County and the burial at Gichakayo Village in Githumu.
