We announce the death of Mrs Pauline Awuor Omumbo, of APA Insurance, which occurred on 28th July 2025, at The Nairobi Hospital.

She was the wife of Mr Nelson Bulu, daughter of Mr John Omumbo and Mrs Victoria Wamban, parent of Mr Gregory Omondi Dende, Mr Elvies Odhiambo Dende, Ms Doris Hope Dende and Mr Joseph Ricardo Dende and sister of Mr Joseph Omumbo, Mrs Lucy Omumbo, Mrs Mary Omumbo and Mrs Christine Omumbo.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on 22nd August 2025, at 6:00 am. The burial will be on 23rd August 2025 at Uyoma, Kabudha, Ndigwa

May the Lord rest her in peace. Amen.

She was beloved wife of Mathew Matheka Kyenge. Loving mother of Elizabeth Muthini, Peter Nguma, Mary Mumbua, Eunice Kanini, Florence Mwongeli, Phylis Mwikali, and Jennifer Mutindi. Loving Mother in-law of Angela Nguma, Christopher Kilului, Gideon Ndambuki, Ambrose Komu & Bernard K iconyi. Grandmother of Mercy, Nancy, Abigail, Alvin, Shalom, Lewis, Penl. Ethan, Lee, Faith, Levin, Ashley and Lexi.

She was the firstborn daughter of Wilson Nzuki :Ind the late Alice Mutheu (Ndaliki) and loving sister of Joshua Musa,Alfred Kyalo, the late Jackson Mutwika, Julius Muendo, Annah Mueni and Benjamin Mulli.

She was daughter in law of the late Kyenge and the late Lydia Kyenge. Sister-in-law of Timothy, Jonathan, Thomas, Sarah, Ruth, Janet, Jedidah, Grace, Mary, Regina, Rose, Fridah, and the late Kithuka.

Friends and family are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home Kakili village, Nguu Masumba ward, Makueni County.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home-Machakos on Tuesday 26th August 2025 for funeral service and burial at her home Kakili village, Nguu Masumba ward.

Mary was the daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Ahinga. She was daughter-in-law of the late Mr & Mrs Chumba.

She was the mother of Margaret, Everline, Lilian & Kevin.

She was the sister of Hellen Ayuya, the late Alfayo, late Safan, late Fanuel, the late Janet.

She was sister-in-law of Meshack, Esther, Ann, Florence, Beatrice, the late Margaret, Daniel, John & David.

She was mother-in-law of Renson & Daniel.

She was grandmother of Bianca, Ramsey. She was an aunt, cousin and friend of many.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday the 21st of August 2025 at Kirungii Pentecostal Church, Kangemi from 8:00am.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday 23rd of August 2025 at lvugwi Village,
Lugari District, Likuyani Sub-location near lvugwi Primary School.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her home in Uthiru, 87 Nairobi until Thursday 21st August 2025 and continuing at her family home in lvugwi Village, Lugari District until Saturday 23rd August 2025 where she will be laid to rest thereafter.

He was dear husband of Retired Elder Margaret Muthoni Munyiri. Loving father of Lydia Wanjiru Munyiri, Eric Ndirangu Munyiri, Kennedy Kamau Munyiri and John Mwangi Munyiri. Loving father-in-law of Paul Shannon, Beatrice Warukira, Mary Wanjiru and Silvia Muthoni. Dear grandfather of Andy Munyiri, Jonathan Munyiri, Derrick Munyiri, Cruz Munyiri, Raymond VVachira, Javin Munyiri,Tasha Muthoni, Myles Njaramba, Jakes Ndirangu,Myra Muthoni and many others.

Brother of John Mwangi, the late Patrick Kabira, the late Ann Nyaguthie, Jecinta Gathoni and Joyce Njoki.

Appreciation

The family of the late Mrs.Teresa Njoki Gachiri, beloved wife of Major Dr. Joseph R. Gachiri, wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the Almighty God for His grace and strength during this difficult period. It is through His mercy that we have been able to walk this journey and to accord our dear Teresa a befitting send-off.

The Church: We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Church for the immense spiritual support, prayers, and guidance given to us throughout the funeral process. In particular, we thank the priests of St Austin’s Parish, led by Father George and Father Henry, who participated fully during the Requiem Mass held on Wednesday, 13th August 2025, at St. Austin’s Catholic Parish. Your presence and ministry uplifted us and reminded us of God’s enduring love. Special thanks go to Father Ignatius, who faithfully walked with Teresa spiritually for four years. He provided her with the Sacrament of the Eucharist every week without fail. Your humility, spirituality, and steadfast faith gave Teresa the strength to endure her illness without ever losing faith in God. We also sincerely thank the Catholic Women’s Association of St. Austin’s Parish, who walked with Teresa throughout her illness and made regular visits to her home in Lavington_Your companionship and love assured her that she was never alone. To the Youth Choir of St. Austin’s Parish, who participated fully during both the Requiem Mass and the funeral service at our home in Kinangop – your angelic voices lifted our hearts and reminded us of the joy of eternal life.

Medical Fraternity: To the doctors, nurses, and support .staff who took care of Teresa during her illness, we extend our heartfelt thanks. In particular, we recognise the Nairobi Hospital Renal Unit and many physicians at Nairobi Hospital who attended to Teresa with dedication and compassion. We ask the Almighty to continue blessing you with the pit if of love, kindness, and compassion in your noble service to patient.

Muthoni’s Chama: Special thanks go to my daughter Muthoni’s Chama. This group of young women stood with our family throughout the entire period of Teresa’s illness. They were by our side every step of the way – more than friends, they truly became family. Their organisational skills during the planning and preparation for Teresa’s send-off were world-class. Words cannot fully express our gratitude,We entrust them to the Almighty Father, asking Him to bless them abundantly and grant them the desires of their hearts.

As a family, we promise to stand with them in both good times and in challenging times, just as they have stood with us.

Organisations and Groups: We are sincerely grateful to the many organisations and groups who supported us during this most difficult and trying time. Of special mention are: 1. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), where Muthoni has been working over the years. 2. The Fraternity of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital where Major Dr. Gachiri J.R. has served for decades. 3. The Kenya Defence Forces, both serving and retired officers, led by Major General (Dr.) Ng’ang’a. 4. My colleague consultants in both Maser Hospital and Nairobi Hospital, who provided spiritual, emotional, and material support_ Your unwavering presence was the backbone that enabled us to prepare a befitting send-off. 5. It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of John Seiriamu Saita alias Bob who served in the Army from 1970. He rested on Monday 11th August 2025.

He was the son of  Sirikwa Saita and Sophia Ndunguloi Saita.

Husband of late Neema Mbise. A loving father of Sophia Soine, Annie Pisoi and guardian of Brian Montet.

He was a loving brother of Priscilla Tiren, Grace Naninaai and the late Isaac Saita.

Father-in-law of Maantai Ngugi and Elisha Langat.

He was a loving grandfather of Xavier Lesikar, Miqbel Alotaibi, Damian Lemerian, Kalya Kipkoech, Berur Kipkorir and Bowen Kibet.

He was an uncle of Sheila, Christopher, Diana, Denis, Frank, Sylvia, Doreen, James, Tianda, Kiddy and Larry.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayer and support at his home in Namanga Town and in Nairobi, all are invited.

Funeral service will be held on 23rd August 2025 in Kajiado County Namanga Town from 10:00 am.
