It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mwalimu Rtd Gedraph Muiruri Kimatta, which occurred on 10th September 2025.

He was the son of the late Mr. Jason and Mrs. Naomi Kimatta.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth Muiruri and loving father of Jane Ngugi, Ben Kimatta, John Macharia, Eva Wanjiku, and Gladys Mugure.

Cherished brother of Grace, Peris, Gladys, the late Silas, Dedan, Deborah, Christopher, and John.

Father-in-law of Mr. Musango, Keziah, Emmaculate, and the late Ngugi. A devoted grandfather of Sylvia, Morris, Wallace, Njeri, Wangeci, Jasmine, David, Musango, Gedraph, Chichi, Nyambura, and Derrick. He was also a beloved cousin and uncle to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Bahati (Maili Tisa), Nakuru, for prayers.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru, on Thursday, I 8th September 2025 at 9:00 a.m., for a funeral service at RiftValley Motors Club Maili Saba Bahati, followed by burial at his home in Maili Tisa (Ahero), Nakuru County.

James Kihia Muriuki

1957 – 2025

It is with humble acceptance of will that we announce the passing of Mr. James Kihia Muriuki on Tuesday, 9th September 2025. He resided in Umora I Estate, Nairobi County.

He was a loving husband of Rose Kihia, cherished father of Kenneth Muriuki and Lucy Wairimu and grandfather of Trevor Kihia and Myles Kihia.

He was the beloved son of the late Stephen Muriuki Rete and the late Priscillah Mumbi, and stepson of Esther Wambui Muriuki. He was a son-in–law of Mary Muthoni Kanuri.

He was also a brother-in-law of Kagai, the lateWmgui, the late Lucy Wanjohi and Kabui.

Meetings and prayers are being held daily at his residence, Umoja I Estate, House No. M5, every evening.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Hospital on Thursday, 18th September- 2025 at 6:30 am, for the burial service and interment at Nyana Mathira West Sub-Location, Nyeri County.

She was the wife of Joash Ogutu Manasseh and mother of Raymond Brian Oichoe.

Daughter of David Machuki and Rael Machuki all deceased. Daughter-in-law of Manasseh Okirigiti and Eunice Okirigiti,

Niece of Oisebe, Manyara, Bathseba, Clement Bogonko, Pauline Omwenga, John Maiko, all deceased and Bosire Mokua.

Sister of Hebisipha, the late Joel, Peter, Job, Mary, Jane, Eunice, Grace and Miruka.

Sister-in-law of George, Gichaba, Nixson, late Wycliffe, Selina, Alice, Tom and James. Niece and Aunt of many.

Mwalimu Priscilla Mwara Kimani

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mwalimu Priscilla Mwara Kimani, from Ihiga Village near Githiga High School. Githiga Location, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiambu County. She was a member of PCEA Gichtga Township Church.

She was the wife of the late Josphat Kimani. She was the mother of Samuel Ndungu, Gitau Mwara (Advocate), Lucy Waturi, George Njoroge, Grace Wanjiku, and Hannah Njoki.

Daughter of the late Hosea Wandau and Grace Wanjiku (Ting’ang’a). Sister of the late John Kiania, the late James Muthama, Mary Wanjiru, the late Monica Wairimu, Gerald Ndiritu and Esther Gathoni (Mwara Investment Mombasa).

A younger mother of the family of Kiarie Gakuo (Ndumberi) and Njoroge Gakuo (Ruiru).

Aunt of the children of the Wandau’s.

Cousin of the Njau’s family (Ting’ang’a. Kagongo) and the Muroki family (Kiaibabu). A mother, aunt and grandmother to many.

Daily prayers, funeral arrangements are being held at her Ihiga home at 4.00 PM.

(1955 – 2025)

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of DOMTILLA O. OKATCH, she was the daughter of Peter Okatch (1925 – 1968) and Grace Okatch (1930 – 2008).

Dom was sister of Felix Okatch EBS, John Okatch, Benard Okatch, and Tom Okatch.

She was an aunty, friend and grandmother to many.

Church service will be held at Holy Family Basicila on Thursday, 25th September 2025 from 9.00am.

Major Harambee will be at United Kenya Club, State House road, on 18th September, 2025 from 6.00pm.

The burial will be on Saturday 27th September 2025 at Gem, Nyawara, Siaya County.

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Mrs. Charity Muya Kemama which occurred on the evening of Friday, 12th September, 2025, after a short illness.

Charity was the beloved wife to her late husband Amedeo Raymond Kemama. Mother of Violet Karimi, Roy Kaaria, Kenneth Muriuki, James Mwenda, Freda Wanja Kemama and Brian Kimathi. Mother-in-law of Julie Mbela and the late Mary Mbinya.

Daughter of the late Wilson Njeru Kaithungu and the late Alice Maitha Ndenderu. Sister of Eunice Mbiro Kinyua and Jepson Riungu Njeru.

He was a loving husband of Margaret Njeri Kimani.

Son of the late Nahashon Gichohi and the late Josephine Nyarumbwa.

Dear father of Robert Gichohi of Puyallup WA, Josephine Nyarumbwa of Scotland, UK and Joyce Wangeci of Canada. Father in law of Geoffrey Waikwa Muchiri. Doting grandfather of Jermaine Kimani, Stephen Kimani, Andrew Kimani and Muchiri Waikwa.

Loving brother of the late Edith Kimani, Rachel Njuguna, Martin Mwaura, the late Geoffrey Githinji Gichohi, Martha Njuguna, John Chiira, Joyce Gikonyo, Sarah Mwangi & Emily Wanjiru.
